Anti‐periodic traveling wave solutions to a class of higher‐order Kadomtsev‐Petviashvili‐Burgers equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Volume 7, Issue 1, Page 1-12, 1994., 1993
We discuss the existence, uniqueness, and continuous dependence on data, of anti‐periodic traveling wave solutions to higher order two‐dimensional equations of Korteweg‐deVries type.

THE TRAVELING WAVE OF AUTO-CATALYTIC SYSTEMS – THE LIMITING CASES

open access: yesCommunications in Applied Analysis, 2018
This article studies propagating wave of a reaction-diffusion system modeling auto-catalytic chemical reaction A+nB → (n+1)B involving two chemical species, a reactant A and an auto-catalyst B, whose diffusion coefficients, DA andDB , are unequal due to ...

The method of lower and upper solutions for n th‐order periodic boundary value problems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Volume 7, Issue 1, Page 33-47, 1994., 1994
In this paper we develop the monotone method in the presence of lower and upper solutions for the problem where f is a Carathéodory function. We obtain sufficient conditions for f to guarantee the existence and approximation of solutions between a lower solution α and an upper solution β for n ≥ 3 with either α ≤ β or α ≥ β.

Revisiting the sub- and super-solution method for the classical radial solutions of the mean curvature equation

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
This paper focuses on the existence and the multiplicity of classical radially symmetric solutions of the mean curvature problem:−div∇v1+|∇v|2=f(x,v,∇v)inΩ,a0v+a1∂v∂ν=0on∂Ω,\left\{\begin{array}{ll}-\text{div}\left(\frac{\nabla v}{\sqrt{1+|\nabla v{|}^{2}}

Homoclinic solutions for a differential inclusion system involving the p(t)-Laplacian

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2022
The aim of this article is to study nonlinear problem driven by the p(t)p\left(t)-Laplacian with nonsmooth potential. We establish the existence of homoclinic solutions by using variational principle for locally Lipschitz functions and the properties of ...

Periodic solutions to the Liénard type equations with phase attractive singularities

open access: yes, 2013
Sufficient conditions are established guaranteeing the existence of a positive ω-periodic solution to the equation u″+f(u)u′+g(u)=h(t,u), where f,g:(0,+∞)→R are continuous functions with possible singularities at zero and h:[0,ω]×R→R is a Carathéodory ...

A Note on Homoclinic Orbits for Second Order Hamiltonian Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we study the existence for the homoclinic orbits for the second order Hamiltonian systems. Under suitable conditions on the potential $V$, we apply the direct method of variations and the Fourier analysis to prove the existence of ...

Existence of periodic solutions with prescribed minimal period of a 2nth-order discrete system

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, we concern with a 2nth-order discrete system. Using the critical point theory, we establish various sets of sufficient conditions for the existence of periodic solutions with prescribed minimal period. To the best of our knowledge, this is

Periodic solutions for nonautonomous second order Hamiltonian systems with sublinear nonlinearity

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2011
Some existence and multiplicity of periodic solutions are obtained for nonautonomous second order Hamiltonian systems with sublinear nonlinearity by using the least action principle and minimax methods in critical point theory.

On the existence of periodic oscillations for pendulum-type equations

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2020
We provide new sufficient conditions for the existence of T-periodic solutions for the ϕ-laplacian pendulum equation (ϕ(x′))′ + k x′ + a sin x = e(t), where e ∈ C͠T.
