Transdermal drug delivery in horses: An in vitro comparison of skin structure and permeation of two model drugs at various anatomical sites

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 235-245, June 2023., 2023
Background – Oral and parenteral drug delivery in horses can be difficult. Equine‐specific transdermal drug formulations offer improved ease of treatment; development of such formulations requires a deeper understanding of the structural and chemical tissue barrier of horse skin. Hypothesis/Objectives – To compare the structural composition and barrier

Analytic hypoellipticity of Keldysh operators

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 123, Issue 5, Page 498-516, November 2021., 2021
Abstract We consider Keldysh‐type operators, P=x1Dx12+a(x)Dx1+Q(x,Dx′), x=(x1,x′) with analytic coefficients, and with Q(x,Dx′) second order, principally real and elliptic in Dx′ for x near zero. We show that if Pu=f, u∈C∞, and f is analytic in a neighbourhood of 0, then u is analytic in a neighbourhood of 0.

Large gap asymptotics for the generating function of the sine point process

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 123, Issue 2, Page 103-152, August 2021., 2021
Abstract We consider the generating function of the sine point process on m consecutive intervals. It can be written as a Fredholm determinant with discontinuities, or equivalently as the convergent series ∑k1,…,km⩾0P∩j=1m#{pointsinthejthinterval}=kj∏j=1msjkj,where s1,…,sm∈[0,+∞). In particular, we can deduce from it joint probabilities of the counting

Boundary spike‐layer solutions of the singular Keller–Segel system: existence and stability

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 122, Issue 1, Page 42-68, January 2021., 2021
Abstract We explore the existence and nonlinear stability of boundary spike‐layer solutions of the Keller–Segel system with logarithmic singular sensitivity in the half space, where the physical zero‐flux and Dirichlet boundary conditions are prescribed.

E8 spectral curves

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 121, Issue 4, Page 954-1032, October 2020., 2020
Abstract I provide an explicit construction of spectral curves for the affine E8 relativistic Toda chain. Their closed‐form expression is obtained by determining the full set of character relations in the representation ring of E8 for the exterior algebra of the adjoint representation; this is in turn employed to provide an explicit construction of ...

Semiclassical resolvent estimates at trapped sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We extend our recent results on propagation of semiclassical resolvent estimates through trapped sets when a priori polynomial resolvent bounds hold. Previously we obtained non-trapping estimates in trapping situations when the resolvent was sandwiched ...

Existence of maximizers for Sobolev-Strichartz inequalities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We prove the existence of maximizers of Sobolev-Strichartz estimates for a general class of propagators, involving relevant examples, as for instance the wave, Dirac and the hyperbolic Schrodinger flows.Comment: 10 ...

A note on the cone restriction conjecture in the cylindrically symmetric case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this note, we present two arguments showing that the classical \textit{linear adjoint cone restriction conjecture} holds for the class of functions supported on the cone and invariant under the spatial rotation in all dimensions. The first is based on

Reconstructing The Moore-Gibson-Thompson Equation

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2020
We are concerned with the inverse problem of recovering a third order Moore-Gibson-Thompson equation from a single observation of its solution at an arbitrary point.

Blow-up for logarithmic viscoelastic equations with delay and acoustic boundary conditions

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
In the present work, we establish a blow-up criterion for viscoelastic wave equations with nonlinear damping, logarithmic source, delay in the velocity, and acoustic boundary conditions.
