MULTISYMPLECTIC VARIATIONAL INTEGRATORS FOR NONSMOOTH LAGRANGIAN CONTINUUM MECHANICS
This paper develops the theory of multisymplectic variational integrators for nonsmooth continuum mechanics with constraints. Typical problems are the impact of an elastic body on a rigid plate or the collision of two elastic bodies.

Fracture with healing: A first step towards a new view of cavitation
Recent experimental evidence on rubber has revealed that the internal cracks that arise out of the process often referred to as cavitation can actually heal.

Null Controllability of the Structurally Damped Wave Equation on the Two-Dimensional Torus
We investigate the null controllability of the wave equation with a Kelvin-Voigt damping on the two-dimensional torus T 2. We consider a distributed control supported in a moving domain ω(t) with a uniform motion at a constant velocity c = (1, ζ).

Non-linear biphasic mixture model: Existence and uniqueness results
This paper is concerned with the development and analysis of a mathematical model that is motivated by interstitial hydrodynamics and tissue deformation mechanics (poro-elasto-hydrodynamics) within an in-vitro solid tumour.

Dynamics for wave equations connected in parallel with nonlinear localized damping
This study investigates the properties of solutions about one-dimensional wave equations connected in parallel under the effect of two nonlinear localized frictional damping mechanisms.
