2D van der Waals System Integrated with Targeting Radio‐Diagnostic and Imaging Functions

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanoplates were engineered for tumor‐targeted imaging and therapy. By exploiting folate receptor (FR) expression levels, the system achieves selective tumor accumulation and high‐resolution dual PET/fluorescence (PET/FL) imaging.

Impacts of Fluorination at the Ortho‐Position of Carboxy Groups on Tetrakis(biphenyl)ethene‐Based Hydrogen‐Bonded Framework

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This work provides new findings on the effect of fluorination on the substitution of TPE derivatives and the modulation of the structure and fluorescence properties of hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) of F‐CBPE. ABSTRACT Fluorination of building block molecules is one of the effective engineering approaches to modulate molecular assembly in ...

Stabilization of Cu Species in UiO‐66 Metal–Organic Framework for CO2‐to‐Methanol: Insights From Operando X‐ray and Electron Microscopy Studies

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study reveals how a zirconium‐based metal–organic framework (UiO‐66) stabilizes copper species during CO2 hydrogenation to methanol. Operando X‐ray spectroscopy, electron microscopy, and theory show that zinc promotes highly dispersed copper and suppresses particle growth, while the framework dynamically responds to reaction intermediates.

Stress‐Adaptive Biomaterials With Tunable Yielding Architectures Regulate Organoid Morphogenesis

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Granular hydrogels are developed to tune the yield stress levels at which 3D tissue culture matrices undergo plastic deformation. We use these materials to regulate growth‐induced stresses, with demonstrable effects on cancer spheroid invasion and brain organoid morphogenesis.

Dual room‐temperature phosphorescence derived from the reversible homolysis in the high proportion n‐electron organic crystal

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
[2,2′‐biisoindoline]‐1,1′,3,3′‐tetraone (4A2B) crystal with high n‐electrons undergoes photo‐induced reversible homolysis resulting in two room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP). One of the 4A2B molecules responds strongly to 250 nm via fast intersystem crossing (ISC) processes among high‐lying excited states.
