A quantified Tauberian theorem for sequences
The main result of this paper is a quantified version of Ingham's Tauberian theorem for bounded vector-valued sequences rather than functions. It gives an estimate on the rate of decay of such a sequence in terms of the behaviour of a certain boundary ...

On Hidden Markov Processes with Infinite Excess Entropy
We investigate stationary hidden Markov processes for which mutual information between the past and the future is infinite. It is assumed that the number of observable states is finite and the number of hidden states is countably infinite.

Every complex Hénon map is exponentially mixing of all orders and satisfies the CLT
We show that the measure of maximal entropy of every complex Hénon map is exponentially mixing of all orders for Hölder observables. As a consequence, the Central Limit Theorem holds for all Hölder observables.

Some quantitative versions of Ratner's mixing estimates
We give explicit versions for some of Ratner's estimates on the decay of matrix coefficients of SL(2,R)-representations.Comment: 18 pages.

Sufficient Conditions for Fast Switching Synchronization in Time Varying Network Topologies
In previous work, empirical evidence indicated that a time-varying network could propagate sufficient information to allow synchronization of the sometimes coupled oscillators, despite an instantaneously disconnected topology.

Mixing of Poisson random measures under interacting transformations [PDF]
We derive sufficient conditions for the mixing of all orders of interacting transformations of a spatial Poisson point process, under a zero-type condition in probability and a generalized adaptedness condition.

A hypercyclic finite rank perturbation of a unitary operator
A unitary operator $V$ and a rank $2$ operator $R$ acting on a Hilbert space $\H$ are constructed such that $V+R$ is hypercyclic. This answers affirmatively a question of Salas whether a finite rank perturbation of a hyponormal operator can be ...

Circle averages and disjointness in typical flat surfaces on every Teichmueller disc
We prove that on the typical translation surface the flow in almost every pair of directions are not isomorphic to each other and are in fact disjoint. It was not known if there were any translation surfaces other than torus covers with this property. We

This article studies the quasi-stationary behaviour of multidimensional birth and death processes, modeling the interaction between several species, absorbed when one of the coordinates hits 0.
