2005 6th International Conference on ASIC, 2006We present a set of design tools for three dimensional (3D) mixed mode placement (MMP). The hierarchical 3D MMP design tool is composed of a hierarchical clustering package, a new 3D floorplanning tool, route planning tool, and 2D global/detailed placement tools. We have analyzed the performance of 3D circuit using these tools.

A 3D mixed-mode ESD protection circuit simulation-design methodology
Proceedings of the IEEE 2004 Custom Integrated Circuits Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37571), 2004Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a serious IC reliability problem. On-chip ESD protection is used to protect ICs against ESD damage. This paper presents a real 3D mixed-mode ESD protection circuit simulation-design methodology for ESD design prediction. Practical ESD protection design examples in 0.35 /spl mu/m BiCMOS are given.

This paper reports on the simulation and experimental results examining the interaction between mismatch and soft-errors in SRAM cells.
