Geochemical and Documentary Topography of a Medieval Silver Valley: Detection of Workshops and Identification of Their Function

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, Volume 32, Issue 2, Page 345-374, April/June 2025.
ABSTRACT This paper presents the interdisciplinary investigation (archaeology, geochemistry, history) of a medieval silver and lead production site located in southern France, in the Minier valley (Occitanie, Aveyron, Le‐Viala‐du‐Tarn). In order to identify the production sites, in situ geochemical surveys were carried out using a portable X‐ray ...

Analysis of the complex role of trees in street canyons using a large‐eddy simulation model

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, Volume 151, Issue 769, April 2025 Part B.
Our large‐eddy simulations with high spatial resolution (down to 1 m) show a significant improvement in thermal comfort in shaded areas beneath trees during the hottest part of the day and just after sunset. However, they also highlight a drawback: in narrower streets, PM10 concentrations more than doubled compared with areas without trees, suggesting ...

Enhancing the National Spatial Data Infrastructure to Support 3D Real Estate Valuation: A Case Study of GIS‐Supported Scoring of 3D Residential Units Based on Expert Opinion

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 29, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT To support property valuation using three‐dimensional (3D) real estate, the present study aims to extend the national spatial data infrastructure (NSDI) with value‐affecting factors such as location characteristics, spatial planning, sociocultural information, and building and dwelling characteristics.

The Implementation Of Ladm Versionedobject Class For Representing Spatio-Temporal Of Cadastre 4d Objects

open access: yesBHUMI: Jurnal Agraria dan Pertanahan, 2019
: Spatial representations and ownerships of 3D properties change over time. Changes are recorded as historical data of transactions, adding the dimension of 3D spatial data into 4D data, known as Cadastre 4D.

3D MODELLING TOWARDS STRATA REGISTRATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
The rapid development of a country has resulted in limited land use. This is indirectly encouraging multilayer development (strata) especially for the development of residential properties such as condominiums, apartments and others.

Legal Requirement Analysis for 3D Cadastral Database Design

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 29, Issue 2, April 2025.
ABSTRACT The growing complexity of modern infrastructures and land ownership necessitates transitioning from 2D to 3D cadastral databases to manage rights, restrictions, and responsibilities (RRRs) effectively. Requirements collection and analysis are critical steps in gathering entities, relationships, and attributes to design a database.

Unearthing the Histories of Agrarian Landscapes: A Research Framework for Terraces as Sustainable Environments

open access: yesGeoarchaeology, Volume 40, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
ABSTRACT This article presents an interdisciplinary programme for research on historic landscapes that has emerged since 2020 in the framework of the project Terraces as Sustainable Agricultural Environments (‘TerraSAgE’). While the methodology has been tested in specific Mediterranean case studies, it is also applicable in other locations and regions.
