Coupled Action Recognition and Pose Estimation from Multiple Views [PDF]
Action recognition and pose estimation are two closely related topics in understanding human body movements; information from one task can be leveraged to assist the other, yet the two are often treated separately. We present here a framework for coupled

Posegraphnet++: Enriching 3d Human Pose with Orientation Estimation
Existing skeleton-based 3D human pose estimation methods only predict joint positions. Although the yaw and pitch of bone rotations can be derived from joint positions, the roll around the bone axis remains unresolved. We present PoseGraphNet++ (PGN++), a novel 2D-to-3D lifting Graph Convolution Network that predicts the complete human pose in 3D ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Three-Dimensional Pose and Body Shape Estimation of Soccer Players Based on Single- and Multi-View Optimization [PDF]
Reconstructing a Three-Dimensional(3D) scene of a soccer game allows the audience to switch their viewpoints freely, enhancing interactivity and immersion. A pipeline to estimate the 3D pose and shape of soccer players in a soccer scene is proposed.

Learning Pose Grammar to Encode Human Body Configuration for 3D Pose Estimation
In this paper, we propose a pose grammar to tackle the problem of 3D human pose estimation. Our model directly takes 2D pose as input and learns a generalized 2D-3D mapping function.

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.
