Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Automated Progress Tracking of Erection of Concrete Structures [PDF]
One of the main criticisms of the construction industry is that projects are too often completed behind schedule (and/or with cost overruns). Schedule delays may result from poor planning, but also from poor progress control, because, if progress ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

A combined experimental–computational framework identifies energy‐dependent laser absorptivity for NiTi in laser powder‐bed fusion, applicable to conduction and transition modes. Single‐track experiments and thermofluid smoothed particle hydrodynamics simulations are coupled through inverse analysis of melt pool geometry.

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

Measuring breast volume in hypertrophy: laser scanning or water displacement?
**Background**: The accurate determination of intact breast volume facilitates preoperative planning for a range of plastic surgical breast procedures. In women with breast hypertrophy, volumetric assessment assists in planning the amount of tissue to be

3D Laser Scanning representation in Architecture
In Architecture, representing the context is for both a technical need and an understanding process for architectural discipline. The creation of drawings is not only to measure and represent reality to intervene in it but also to analyse it in a broader sense, and often for purposes beyond placing a future design.

Measuring Neuronal Population Activity Using 3D Laser Scanning
Neural tissue is organized in three-dimensional (3D) networks of neuronal and glial cell populations. To understand the functional organization of these networks, it is desirable to achieve 3D activity measurements from large cell populations in intact tissue with high temporal resolution.

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...
