3D Measurement of Human Chest and Abdomen Surface Based on 3D Fourier Transform and Time Phase Unwrapping [PDF]
Monitoring respiratory movements is an effective way to improve radiotherapy treatments of thoracic and abdominal tumors, but the current approach is limited to measuring specific points in the chest and abdomen.

Coal Gangue Target Detection Based on Improved YOLOv5s
Coal gangue sorting is a necessary process in coal mine production, and removing gangue is the basis for the coal production of clean energy; it is also an important approach to reduce the cost of washing, improve the grade of finished coal and increase ...

The consequences of the loss of the load-bearing capacity due to the corrosion of prestressing steel can be much more dangerous than in the case of reinforced concrete structures, since failure can occur quite rapidly and without warning.

Sharp-wave ripple doublets induce complex dendritic spikes in parvalbumin interneurons in vivo
The influence of sharp-wave ripples (SPW-Rs) on dendritic computation remains poorly understood. Here, the authors demonstrate the existence of SPW-R associated, branch-specific, dendritic spikes which serve as a temporal and spatial coincidence ...

Measuring galaxy asymmetries in 3D
ABSTRACT One of the commonly used non-parametric morphometric statistics for galaxy profiles and images is the asymmetry statistic. With an eye to current and upcoming large neutral hydrogen (H i) surveys, we develop a 3D version of the asymmetry statistic that can be applied to datacubes.

3D flow field measurements outside nanopores
We demonstrate a non-stereoscopic, video-based particle tracking system with optical tweezers to study fluid flow in 3D in the vicinity of glass nanopores. In particular, we used the quadrant interpolation algorithm to extend our video-based particle tracking to displacements out of the trapping plane of the tweezers.

Computer-aided three dimensional morphometric measurements of cervical vertebrae variations compared with manual measurements in throughbred horses [PDF]
Aim: The aim of this study was to create three-dimensional (3D) models of each cervical vertebra with computed tomography (CT) images; to determine the morphometric parameters of each cervical vertebra with manual and digital measurement methods; to ...
