Association Between Motor Pathway Damage and Motor Deficit in Upper and Lower Limb in People With MS
ABSTRACT Objective Corticospinal tract damage is common in people with MS, but the degree of clinical symptoms varies. We hypothesize that corticospinal tract lesions are more extensive and severe in people with MS with motor impairments in both upper and lower limbs.

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

AbstractA knitted animal is made of a closed surface consisting of several knitted patches knitted out of yarn and stuffed with cotton (Fig. 1). We introduce a system to create a knitting pattern from a given 3D surface model (mainly designed for rotund animal models). A knitting pattern is an instructional diagram describing how to knit yarn to obtain

In between 3D Active Appearance Models and 3D Morphable Models
2009 IEEE Computer Society Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Workshops, 2009In this paper we propose a novel method of generating 3D morphable models (3DMMs) from 2D images. We develop algorithms of 3D face reconstruction from a sparse set of points acquired from 2D images. In order to establish correspondence between images precisely, we combined active shape models (ASMs) and active appearance models (AAMs)(CASAAMs) in an ...

A new research frontier for evolutionary 2D image generation is the use of mathematical models of aesthetics, with the goal of automatically evolving aesthetically pleasing images. This paper investigates the application of similar models of aesthetics towards the evolution of 3-dimensional structures.

Databases and other related concepts are some of the key technologies that power the present IT scenario. Their effect can be felt in all the industries and thus database designing forms a key part in development of any system. In such a scenario coupled with the demanding environment it is imperative that the design is flawless and all the related ...

3D Topological modeling and visualisation for 3D GIS
Computers & Graphics, 1999Abstract Beyond Virtual Reality, 3D Geographical Information Systems should provide efficient spatial analysis tools able to use all capabilities of the third dimension, and a visualization that could operate on the results of queries. To address these issues, this paper presents a fully 3D topological model that was implemented in an object-oriented
