Data-Driven Extrusion Force Control Tuning for 3D Printing [PDF]
The quality of 3D prints often varies due to different conditions inherent to each print, such as filament type, print speed, and nozzle size. Closed-loop process control methods improve the accuracy and repeatability of 3D prints. However, optimal tuning of controllers for given process parameters and design geometry is often a challenge with manually

Scalable Fabrication of Height‐Variable Microstructures with a Revised Wetting Model
Height‐variable microstructures are fabricated using a scalable CO2 laser machining approach, enabling precise control of wettability through structural gradients. Classical wetting models fail to capture height‐induced effects, necessitating a revised theoretical framework.

CapriDB - Capture, Print, Innovate: A Low-Cost Pipeline and Database for Reproducible Manipulation Research [PDF]
We present a novel approach and database which combines the inexpensive generation of 3D object models via monocular or RGB-D camera images with 3D printing and a state of the art object tracking algorithm. Unlike recent efforts towards the creation of 3D object databases for robotics, our approach does not require expensive and controlled 3D scanning ...

A multimaterial approach is introduced to improve upon auxetic structures by combining two different polymers into the same reentrant honeycomb structure via additive manufacturing. The deformation behavior as well as the resulting Poisson's ratio are thereby improved significantly.
