The 3D-3D Registration Problem Revisited
2007 IEEE 11th International Conference on Computer Vision, 2007We describe a new framework for globally solving the 3D-3D registration problem with unknown point correspondences. This problem is significant as it is frequently encountered in many applications. Existing methods are not fully satisfactory, mainly due to the risk of local minima.

DMV3D: Denoising Multi-View Diffusion using 3D Large Reconstruction Model
International Conference on Learning Representations, 2023We propose \textbf{DMV3D}, a novel 3D generation approach that uses a transformer-based 3D large reconstruction model to denoise multi-view diffusion. Our reconstruction model incorporates a triplane NeRF representation and can denoise noisy multi-view ...

RED-BLUE SEPARABILITY PROBLEMS IN 3D
International Journal of Computational Geometry & Applications, 2003In this paper we study the problems of separability of two disjoint point sets in 3D by multiple criteria extending some notions on separability of two disjoint point sets in the plane.

Some issues of calculating the unstationary electromagnetic fields in 3D media with a piecewise homogeneous conductivity are considered. Potential statements of the problems in the time domain are used. An approach to solving this kind of problems is proposed. The computational stability of the method at late times is verified on a model example.

Interpolating Meshless Methods for 3D Elastic Problems
International Journal of Computational Methods, 2022Interpolating meshless methods can directly impose boundary conditions because of the interpolation property which shows advantages in dealing with problems with boundary conditions. The interpolating element-free Galerkin method (IEFGM), the improved interpolating element-free Galerkin method (IIEFGM), and the radial point interpolation method (RPIM)

3D Multimodality imaging: The registration problem
Proceedings of the Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 1992A parameter clustering approach has been developed to register sets of 3D MRI, PET, and SPECT images. Experiments have demonstrated the validity of the approach. In addition, by adjusting the clustering criterion, this clustering approach can build up a link between the least squares fitting and the Hough transform approach in the application of 3D ...

DreamCraft3D: Hierarchical 3D Generation with Bootstrapped Diffusion Prior
International Conference on Learning Representations, 2023We present DreamCraft3D, a hierarchical 3D content generation method that produces high-fidelity and coherent 3D objects. We tackle the problem by leveraging a 2D reference image to guide the stages of geometry sculpting and texture boosting.

3D/4D sonography – any safety problem
Journal of Perinatal Medicine, 2016AbstractGray-scale image data are processed in 3D ultrasound by repeated scans of multiple planes within a few seconds to achieve one surface rendering image and three perpendicular plane images. The 4D image is achieved by repeating 3D images in short intervals, i.e. 3D and 4D ultrasound are based on simple B-mode images.

3D reconstruction: The registration problem
Computer Vision, Graphics, and Image Processing, 1988Abstract Three dimensional (3D) reconstruction of serial sections through biological tissue is a very important method for visualizing and quantifying the 3D relationships between internal structures. This project involves the automation of the 3D reconstruction process, focusing on the problem of registering or aligning successive serial sections ...
