Real-time Rendering of 3D Clouds
Journal of Graphics Tools, 2000Abstract The visual realism of a computer graphics simulation of outdoor scenery is greatly enhanced by a realistic display of clouds. In this paper, we present an algorithm based on Gardner's work that can render perspectively-correct 3D clouds in real time on current graphics hardware.

Line-art rendering of 3D-models
Proceedings the Eighth Pacific Conference on Computer Graphics and Applications, 2002We present an interactive system for computer aided generation of line art drawings to illustrate 3D models that are given as triangulated surfaces. In a preprocessing step, an enhanced 2D view of the scene is computed by sampling for every pixel the shading, the normal vectors and the principal directions obtained from discrete curvature analysis ...

3D-Kernel Foveated Rendering for Light Fields
IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, 2021Light fields capture both the spatial and angular rays, thus enabling free-viewpoint rendering and custom selection of the focal plane. Scientists can interactively explore pre-recorded microscopic light fields of organs, microbes, and neurons using virtual reality headsets.

SplatAD: Real-Time Lidar and Camera Rendering with 3D Gaussian Splatting for Autonomous Driving
Computer Vision and Pattern RecognitionEnsuring the safety of autonomous robots, such as self-driving vehicles, requires extensive testing across diverse driving scenarios. Simulation is a key ingredient for conducting such testing in a cost-effective and scalable way.

Dynamics of 3D polygonal rendering
2010 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SIBIRCON), 2010This paper details a novel approach to modeling the real-time rendering process. Given the backset of rapidly advancing technology in computer hardware and software, the 3D rendering process is well known to be both dynamic and complex. By analyzing this process through the perspective of system identification and dynamics, our proposed approach ...

Many modern applications and window systems perform three-dimensional (3D) rendering. For a cloud system to support such applications, that 3D rendering must be performed in the cloud, because the end-user equipment cannot be relied upon to contain the necessary rendering hardware.

A method of filling 3D model using generated solid textures is proposed. Using 3D texture synthesis, a 2D exemplar texture is synthesized to be a solid texture. The synthesized solid texture can be the stuffed material of 3D Solid model or the solid material of surficial mesh. The proposed method designs two algorithms to cutting the model.

Monocular Differentiable Rendering for Self-Supervised 3D Object Detection
European Conference on Computer Vision, 20203D object detection from monocular images is an ill-posed problem due to the projective entanglement of depth and scale. To overcome this ambiguity, we present a novel self-supervised method for textured 3D shape reconstruction and pose estimation of ...
