Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

Quantum-driven copyright protection: Exploring the 3D quantum geometry-texture synchronized watermarking

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences
Quantum computing’s rise demands new 3D image copyright solutions–this study pioneers a quantum-driven watermarking approach. Recognizing the critical role of quantum representation, we first construct a Quantum 3D Image Representation (Q3IR) model to ...

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Predicting 3D representations for Dynamic Scenes

open access: yesCoRR
We present a novel framework for dynamic radiance field prediction given monocular video streams. Unlike previous methods that primarily focus on predicting future frames, our method goes a step further by generating explicit 3D representations of the dynamic scene. The framework builds on two core designs.

CloudCompare

open access: yes, 2020
" CloudCompare is a 3D point cloud (and triangular mesh) processing software. It has been originally designed to perform comparison between two dense 3D points clouds (such as the ones acquired with a laser scanner) or between a point cloud and a ...

Targeting transcription factors associated with hemoglobinopathies: Lessons from successful interventions and implications for cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the transcription factors, repressive chromatin‐modifying complexes, and epigenetic mechanisms that control fetal hemoglobin repression. Notably, many regulators of γ‐globin silencing also function in transcriptional and epigenetic networks that drive cancer, highlighting opportunities to translate advances in hemoglobinopathy ...

Optimization-Based Monocular 3D Object Tracking via Combined Ellipsoid-Cuboid Representation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Monocular 3D object tracking is a challenging task because monocular image lacks depth information necessary for 3D scene understanding. Modern methods typically rely on deep learning to reconstruct 3D information from learned prior, which demands ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.
