3D Human Sensing

International Conference on Informatics Education and Research for Knowledge-Circulating Society (icks 2008), 2008
The development of 3D video in recent years realizes 3D surface capturing of human in motion as is. In this paper, we introduce 3D human sensing algorithms based on 3D video. Since 3D video capturing does not require the object to attach special markers, we can capture the original information such as body motion or viewing directions without any ...

3D Compressed sensing ultrasound imaging

2010 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium, 2010
This paper proposes a compressed sensing method adapted to 3D ultrasound (US) imaging. Three undersampling patterns suited for 3D US imaging, together with a nonlinear conjugate gradient reconstruction algorithm of the US image k-spaces, are investigated in vivo radio-frequency 3D US volumes.

3D imaging with axially distributed sensing

Optics Letters, 2009
A new (to our knowledge) multiperspective 3D imaging architecture is proposed that uses imagers distributed along a common optical axis. In this axially distributed sensing method, either a single imager is translated along its optical axis or objects are moved parallel to the optical axis of a single imager. The 3D information collection capability of

From Sense to Print: Towards Automatic 3D Printing from 3D Sensing Devices

2013 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 2013
In this paper, we introduce the From Sense to Print system. It is a system where a 3D sensing device connected to the cloud is used to reconstruct an object or a human and generate 3D CAD models which are sent automatically to a 3D printer. In other words, we generate ready-to-print 3D models of objects without manual intervention in the processing ...
