Flexible sensor concept and an integrated collision sensing for efficient human-robot collaboration using 3D local global sensors

open access: yesFrontiers in Robotics and AI, 2023
Human-robot collaboration with traditional industrial robots is a cardinal step towards agile manufacturing and re-manufacturing processes. These processes require constant human presence, which results in lower operational efficiency based on current ...

Multiple ETS family transcription factors bind mutant p53 via distinct interaction regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 gain‐of‐function is thought to be mediated by interaction with other transcription factors. We identify multiple ETS transcription factors that can bind mutant p53 and found that this interaction can be promoted by a PXXPP motif. ETS proteins that strongly bound mutant p53 were upregulated in ovarian cancer compared to ETS proteins that ...

DEEP-IMAGE-MATCHING: A TOOLBOX FOR MULTIVIEW IMAGE MATCHING OF COMPLEX SCENARIOS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Finding corresponding points between images is a fundamental step in photogrammetry and computer vision tasks. Traditionally, image matching has relied on hand-crafted algorithms such as SIFT or ORB. However, these algorithms face challenges when dealing

Inertial Sensed Ego‐motion for 3D Vision [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Robotic Systems, 2003
AbstractInertial sensors attached to a camera can provide valuable data about camera pose and movement. In biological vision systems, inertial cues provided by the vestibular system are fused with vision at an early processing stage. In this article we set a framework for the combination of these two sensing modalities.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Reconfigurable Microwave Photonic Topological Insulator

open access: yes, 2016
Using full 3D finite element simulation and underlining Hamiltonian models, we demonstrate reconfigurable photonic analogues of topological insulators on a regular lattice of tunable posts in a re-entrant 3D lumped element type system.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...
