Transmission of 3D Video Content
2018This chapter describes different video transport technologies that support the existing 3D video formats, such as frame- compatible side-by-side and multi-view video plus depth. Particular emphasis is given to the DVB systems (terrestrial, satellite, and cable) and IP transport, focusing HTTP/TCP streaming, adaptive HTTP streaming, RTP/UDP streaming ...

In this paper we explore a method to encode/decode multiview textures and associated supplementary data (depth map as an example) together in a single bitstream. Least significant bit (LSB) of last two levels in each transform block has been modified according to the depth encoded bits, thus resulting in very minimal loss in PSNR of textures (0.1 – 0 ...

In this chapter, compression methods for 3D video (3DV) are presented. This includes data formats, video and depth compression, evaluation methods, and analysis tools. First, the fundamental principles of video coding for classical 2D video content are reviewed, including signal prediction, quantization, transformation, and entropy coding.

In this paper, we propose a novel and effective method to detect whether a video is 3D Side-by-Side format or not. The proposal extracts features between left and right side of video frames for detection. We firstly obtained the difference between left and right side of video frame and adopted a threshold operation for denoising.

VFusion3D: Learning Scalable 3D Generative Models from Video Diffusion Models
European Conference on Computer VisionThis paper presents a novel method for building scalable 3D generative models utilizing pre-trained video diffusion models. The primary obstacle in developing foundation 3D generative models is the limited availability of 3D data.

Abstract 3D video billboard clouds reconstruct and represent a dynamic three‐dimensional scene using displacement‐mapped billboards. They consist of geometric proxy planes augmented with detailed displacement maps and combine the generality of geometry‐based 3D video with the regularization properties of image‐based 3D video. 3D video billboards are an
