Multifractal analysis of multiview 3D video with different quantization parameters applying histogram method [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2014
In this paper, multifractal properties of multiview 3D video are determined. Multifractal spectra are determined by using the histogram method. For the analysis of multiview video, long video traces are used, for multiview video with two views ...

Topology Dictionary for 3D Video Understanding [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2012
This paper presents a novel approach that achieves 3D video understanding. 3D video consists of a stream of 3D models of subjects in motion. The acquisition of long sequences requires large storage space (2 GB for 1 min). Moreover, it is tedious to browse data sets and extract meaningful information.

A Novel Robust Spread Spectrum Watermarking Scheme for 3D Video Traitor Tracing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The 3D video traitor tracing approach is an effective technique for securing 3D content. This approach involves the protection of the multimedia content and the prevention of each malicious manipulation by embedding the Collusion-Secure Fingerprinting ...

Immersive 3D Holoscopic Video System [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE MultiMedia, 2013
We demonstrated a 3D holoscopic video system for 3DTV application. We showed that using a field lens and a square aperture significantly reduces the vignetting problem associated with a relay system and achieves over 95 percent fill factor. The main problem for such a relay system is the nonlinear distortion during the 3D image capturing, which can ...

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Study of 3D Video Compression Using Nonlinear Depth Representation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
The extensions of Advanced Video Coding (AVC) and High-Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) for multiview video plus depth allow for the coding of 3D video scenes. During the standardization of these extensions, it was demonstrated that compression performance

3D Inference and Modelling for Video Retrieval [PDF]

open access: yes2008 Ninth International Workshop on Image Analysis for Multimedia Interactive Services, 2008
A new scheme is proposed for extracting planar surfaces from 2D image sequences. We firstly perform feature correspondence over two neighboring frames, followed by the estimation of disparity and depth maps, provided a calibrated camera. We then apply iterative random sample consensus (RANSAC) plane fitting to the generated 3D points to find a dominant

Value of MRI Outcomes for Preventive and Early‐Stage Trials in Spinocerebellar Ataxias 1 and 3

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the value of MRI outcomes as endpoints for preventive and early‐stage trials of two polyglutamine spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Methods A cohort of 100 participants (23 SCA1, 63 SCA3, median Scale for the Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) score = 5, 42% preataxic, and 14 gene‐negative controls) was scanned at 3T up ...

The Effect of Applying 2D Enhancement Algorithms on 3D Video Content

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2014
Enhancement algorithms are typically applied to video content to increase their appeal to viewers. Such algorithms are readily available in the literature and are already widely applied in, for example, commercially available TVs.
