A 3D Imaging Method for UAV Swarm Polarimetric SAR Based on Joint Sparse and Low‐Rank Structure Constraints

open access: yesIET Image Processing, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
We designed a distributed UAV swarm SAR observation architecture that deploys multiple UAV‐borne SAR systems in the three‐dimensional space around the target scene. Each node operates in a monostatic mode, which not only reduces synchronization requirements but also provides robustness against single‐node failure.

An Efficient Fractal Video Sequences Codec with Multiviews

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
Multiview video consists of multiple views of the same scene. They require enormous amount of data to achieve high image quality, which makes it indispensable to compress multiview video. Therefore, data compression is a major issue for multiviews. In this paper, we explore an efficient fractal video codec to compress multiviews.

Multicamera Real‐Time 3D Modeling for Telepresence and Remote Collaboration

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, Volume 2010, Issue 1, 2010., 2010
We present a multicamera real‐time 3D modeling system that aims at enabling new immersive and interactive environments. This system, called Grimage, allows to retrieve in real‐time a 3D mesh of the observed scene as well as the associated textures. This information enables a strong visual presence of the user into virtual worlds.

Spatial 3D imaging by synthetic and digitized holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A novel method named digitized holography is proposed for 3D display systems. This is the technique replacing the whole process of classical holography with digital processing of optical wave-fields.

Depth map compression via 3D region-based representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In 3D video, view synthesis is used to create new virtual views between encoded camera views. Errors in the coding of the depth maps introduce geometry inconsistencies in synthesized views.
