Taxonomy of IMT Interference on Aeronautical Systems
Abstract The rapid deployment of 5G and future 6G networks has raised concerns about interference with critical aeronautical systems, particularly radio altimeters and Wireless Avionics Intra‐Communications (WAIC). This paper offers a comprehensive taxonomy of the 5G/6G signal interference mechanisms, operational impacts, and mitigation strategies in ...

The Role of Technology Standards in Strategic Hedging
ABSTRACT This article argues that technology standards provide Southeast Asian states with a distinct mechanism for hedging amid intensifying US–China technological rivalry. Traditional hedging strategies emphasizing economic engagement without political alignment are increasingly constrained by the weaponization of technological interdependence ...

Performance Analysis of CA‐Polar Code for 5G‐IoT Low Power Wide Area Networks
ABSTRACT CRC‐Aided Polar (CA‐Polar) codes are the standardized channel coding scheme for control channels of 5G eMBB service class due to their capacity achieving performance. This work aims to assess the compatibility and scalability of CA‐Polar codes toward low power IoT applications coming under the domain of LPWAN.

Dynamic Resource Allocation for LEO Satellite Systems Under Heterogeneous Traffic Distributions
ABSTRACT This paper proposes an efficient resource allocation scheme for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems. Taking into account the unique characteristics of LEO systems for 6G communication services, we introduce a dynamic bandwidth and power allocation scheme specifically designed to accommodate highly heterogeneous traffic distributions.

The potential gains of NOMA were evaluated in a satellite system with heterogeneous receivers, after considering the use of specific DVB‐S2X MODCODs, along with the impact of non‐linearities. It was concluded that a judicious power allocation in NOMA, jointly optimized with the IBO of the PAs, can yield significant sum‐rate gains.
