Interpolated Adaptive Linear Reduced Order Modeling for Deformation Dynamics
Abstract Linear reduced‐order modeling (ROM) is widely used for efficient simulation of deformation dynamics, but its accuracy is often limited by the fixed linearization of the reduced mapping. We propose a new adaptive strategy for linear ROM that allows the reduced mapping to vary dynamically in response to the evolving deformation state ...

Quantum Lower Bound for the Collision
: We extend Aaronson and Shi’s quantum lower bound for the r-to-one collision problem. An r-to-one function is one where every element of the image has exactly r preimages. The r-to-one collision problem is to distinguish between one-to-one functions and

Guarding disjoint triangles and claws in the plane
We consider the problem of guarding triangles in the plane and show that ⌊(5n+2)/4⌋ guards can monitor the boundaries and the free space of n disjoint triangles.

CANRIG: Cross‐Attention Neural Face Rigging with Variable Local Control
Abstract Facial animation is one of the most labor‐intensive aspects of animation and VFX, as traditional rigging consumes weeks of expert time and forces animators to spend countless hours manipulating hundreds of controls to achieve varied expressions.

ABSTRACT Teacher well‐being has garnered increasing attention in language education, as it plays a vital role in shaping both their professional lives and student learning. Although its importance is recognised, further research is still needed to gain a more comprehensive understanding of language teachers' well‐being.

On the connection between the 3n+1-problem and Elliptic Equations
This paper studies the 3n+1-problem using the binary notation of natural numbers and shows that there may be a connection between a 3n+1-equation and an elliptic equation as a mirror-image of the 3n+1-equation. So, maybe the theory behind the solution of Fermat’s Last Theorem may help to understand the 3n+1-problem.

A Comparative Review of Specification Tests for Diffusion Models
Summary Diffusion models play an essential role in modelling continuous‐time stochastic processes in the financial field. Therefore, several proposals have been developed in the last decades to test the specification of stochastic differential equations.

On the mutual-exclusion problem — a quest for minimal solutions
Abraham, U. and M. Magidor, On the mutual-exclusion problem — a quest for minimal solutions, Theoretical Computer Science 129 (1994) 1–38.We investigate here the question of finding the minimal requirements for the registers used by n processes that ...

Detecting Periodicity of a General Stationary Time Series via AR(2)‐Model Fitting
ABSTRACT Estimating the periodicity of a stationary time series via fitting a second‐order stationary autoregressive (AR(2)) model has been initiated by the seminal paper of Yule (1927). We investigate properties of this procedure when applied to general stationary processes possessing a spectral density with a dominant peak at some unknown frequency ...
