The chlorination of 4‐aminobenzoic acid and its methyl ester

Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1959
AbstractChlorination of 4‐acetylaminobenzoic acid (III) afforded 4‐acetylamino‐3,5‐dichlorobenzoic acid (IV, m.p. 237‐238°), which could be saponified easily to 4‐amino‐3,5‐dichlorobenzoic acid (II, m.p. 290°). Direct chlorination of 4‐aminobenzoic acid (I) in a mixture of glacial acetic acid and hydrochloric acid afforded 3,4,4,6,6‐pentachloro‐1 ...

Measurement and DFT Calculation on Terahertz Spectroscopy of 4-aminobenzoic Acid [PDF]

open access: possibleJournal of Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves, 2009
We report the measurement of the terahertz (THz) spectra of 4-aminobenzoic acid by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy in the 1.5–19.5 THz. Low frequency intermolecular (or phonon) modes between 0.3 and 2.4 THz were also investigated via THz time-domain spectroscopy.

Determination of nicotinamide and 4-aminobenzoic acid in pharmaceutical preparation by LC

Journal of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis, 2002
A rapid, precise and time saving high performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of nicotinamide and 4-aminobenzoic acid in pharmaceutical preparation. The method involves isocratic elution of mobile phase through column in a reverse phase chromatography with UV detection at 254 nm. The

Hydrolytic dissociation constants of substituted 4‐aminobenzoic acids

Recueil des Travaux Chimiques des Pays-Bas, 1967
AbstractComposite hydrolytic dissociation constants, KI and KII, of 4‐aminobenzoic acids substituted as follows, 2‐H‐, 2‐CH3‐, 2‐Cl‐, 2‐Br‐, 2‐NO2‐, 2‐OH‐, 2‐OCH3‐, 3‐Br‐, 2,6‐(CH3)2‐, 2,6‐(C2H5)2‐, 2,6‐Cl2‐ and 2,6‐Br2‐, have been determined in aqueous solution, at 50°C and at an ionic strength of 0.1.From the values of pKI and pKII and the postulate ...

Hydrogen bonding in the bromide salts of 4-aminobenzoic acid and 4-aminoacetophenone

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2008
In the title compounds, 4-carboxyanilinium bromide, C(7)H(8)NO(2)(+) x Br(-), (I), and 4-acetylanilinium bromide, C(8)H(10)NO(+) x Br(-), (II), each asymmetric unit contains a discrete cation with a protonated amino group and a halide anion. Both crystal structures are characterized by two-dimensional hydrogen-bonded networks.

Copper(II) complexes of 4-aminobenzoic and 4-aminosalicylic acids

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1985
Abstract Copper(II) complexes of 4-aminobenzoic (HAB) and 4-aminosalicylic (HAS) acids were prepared and characterized by means of thermal analysis, magnetic measurements, ESR, IR and electronic spectroscopy. Both ligands behave as monodentate (carboxylate bonded) or bridging bidentate (amino and carboxylate bonded) donors yielding two types of ...

Chemical preparation, crystal structure and vibrational study of a new dihydrogenotriphosphate trihydrate of 4-aminobenzoic acid fertilizer type NP

Journal of coordination chemistry, 2018
Crystals of dihydrogenotriphosphate trihydrate of 4-aminobenzoic acid, (NH3C6H4COOH)3H2P3O10·3H2O, were prepared and grown at room temperature. (NH3C6H4COOH)3H2P3O10·3H2O crystallizes in the triclinic system with centric space group P-1.

Hydrogen-bonding interactions in the 4-aminobenzoic acid salt of atenolol monohydrate

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2007
Atenolol {or 4-[2-hydroxy-3-(isopropylamino)propoxy]phenylacetamide} crystallizes with 4-aminobenzoic acid to give the salt {3-[4-(aminocarbonylmethyl)phenoxy]-2-hydroxypropyl}isopropylammonium 4-aminobenzoate monohydrate, C14H23N2O3(+) x C7H6NO2(-) x H2O.
