Sonolysis of aqueous 4-nitrophenol at low and high pH

open access: yesUltrasonics Sonochemistry, 2000
The sonolysis of 4-nitrophenol in argon-saturated aqueous solution has been studied at 321 kHz. In order to evaluate separately the effect of OH radicals that are formed in the cavitational bubble and part of which react in the aqueous phase with this substrate, radiolytic studies in N2O-saturated solutions were carried out for comparison.

Investigation on crystallinity, stability and piezoelectricity of l-arginine 4-nitrophenolate 4-nitrophenol dihydrate single crystal

Optik, 2016
Abstract l -Arginine 4-nitrophenolate 4-nitrophenol dihydrate single crystals have been grown from slow evaporation solution growth technique. Crystalline perfection of the crystal has been evaluated by high resolution X-ray diffraction technique and it reveals that the crystal quality is good and free from structural grain boundaries.

Crystal growth and characterization of 4-dimethylamino pyridinium 4-nitrophenolate 4-nitrophenol (DMAPNP) for NLO applications

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019
The optically transparent organic single crystals of 4-dimethylaminopyridinium 4-nitrophenolate 4-nitrophenol (DMAPNP) were grown by slow evaporation solution technique (SEST) using acetone as a solvent. The cell parameters of the grown crystal were identified by single crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD) analysis.

L-Phenylalanine–4-nitrophenol (1/1)

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2006
In the 1:1 adduct formed between L-phenylalanine and 4-nitrophenol [alternative IUPAC name: (2S)-2-ammonio-3-phenylpropanoate-4-nitrophenol (1/1)], C9H11NO2.C6H5NO3, the L-phenylalanine molecule is in the zwitterionic state. The overall structure is stabilized via strong hydrogen bonding between polar zones and van der Waals interactions between non ...

Photodegradation of 4-Nitrophenol Using Cadmium Sulphide Nanoparticles

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2014
An efficient method to degrade 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) using cadmium sulphide nanoparticles (CdS NPs) prepared by a novel method as a photocatalyst in the presence of H2O2 as a free radical generator was developed. To investigate the degradation mechanism, the interaction between the substrate (4-NP) and the catalyst (CdS NPs) was studied using UV-visible

Kinetics of 4-nitrophenol biodegradation in a sequencing batch reactor

Water Research, 2003
In this paper, the biodegradation process of 4-nitrophenol (4NP) in a sequencing batch reactor has been investigated. Kinetic tests have been carried out on biomass grown on mixed substrate (4NP plus biogenic substrate) both in the presence of a biogenic substrate fraction in the feed and with 4NP as the sole carbon source.

Micelle confined mechanistic pathway for 4-nitrophenol reduction

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2017
The model 4-nitrophenol reduction has been carried out by different groups in presence of metallic or even non-metallic catalyst elaborating different mechanistic aspects. In the present investigation, we have thoroughly studied the hydrogenation of 4-nitrophenol in a completely metal free homogeneous condition.
