The Capital–Labour–State Dynamics of Herbicide Adoption in Rainfed India

open access: yesJournal of Agrarian Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper engages debates around the capital–labour–state dynamics of agrarian transitions to address the oft‐studied but still little‐understood question of why farmers adopt herbicides when they do. Over the last several years, smallholder farmers in India have begun using the herbicide bispyribac sodium at breakneck speeds, particularly in

Association of ABO blood group and coronary heart disease in blood donors—Results from a cohort study in Australia

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background ABO blood groups may be associated with increased risk for several diseases including cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), particularly coronary heart disease (CHD). The role of other significant blood group systems, such as RhD and RhCE, has not been extensively investigated.

Assessment of natural radioactivity levels and annual equivalent doses in some milk powdered samples for adults used in Baghdad

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2019
In this paper the specific activity of 238U, 232Th and 40K radionuclides were determined by sodium iodide enhanced by thallium NaI(Tl) detector and assessment the annual effective dose in samples of powder milk from different companies such as Almunaish,

Estimation of effective dose caused by 40K, 90Sr and 137Cs in daily food

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management, 2006
This paper presents 137Cs, 90Sr and 40K activity concentrations in daily food and an annual effective dose caused by these radionuclides. Samples were taken during the period 28 October 2004–23 June 2005 once a month in a students’ canteen of Vilnius ...

Randomised, Double‐Blinded, Placebo‐Controlled Challenge Test With Single Food Items in Dogs With Atopic Dermatitis and Adverse Food Reactions

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 247-256, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Identification of offending foods in dogs with adverse food reactions is usually based on “deterioration” during open food challenges. Objectives To examine the placebo effect during double‐blinded, placebo‐controlled food challenges using a predefined set of criteria for relapse.

Cholesterol‐DNA Origami Nanostructures for Synthetic Lipid Rafts Induce Early T Cell Activation Signals

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 5, 4 March 2026.
Here, we present a nanotechnology approach to construct synthetic lipid rafts on the live T cell membrane, leveraging a versatile DNA origami‐enabled platform named as the “cholesterol nano‐patch” (CNP). Our investigation highlights the effectiveness of DNA nanotechnology in exploring the impact of nanoscale arrangement of cholesterols on the ...

Evaluation of single versus multiple site of action preemergence herbicides for waterhemp and giant ragweed control in Wisconsin soybean

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract The use of preemergence (PRE) herbicides with soil residual activity is recognized as an effective strategy for early‐season weed management in Midwest US soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] production. The efficacy of soybean PRE herbicides with single and multiple sites of action (SOAs), including acetolactate synthase (ALS), photosystem II ...

Evolution of radionuclide concentration and the radiological hazards in building material: a review

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science
Residents are continuously exposed to ionizing radiation emitted from 238U, 232Th and 40K maintained in building materials, which may cause health risks. Hence, these building materials need to routinely monitor.

Genetic and environmental influences on sleep quality, ability to settle, and crying duration in 2‐ and 5‐month‐old infants: A longitudinal twin study

open access: yesJCPP Advances, Volume 6, Issue 1, March 2026.
This study found that genetic factors largely influence crying duration and settle ability in infancy, while shared environmental factors primarily affect the number of night wakeups. Etiological influences tended to change from 2 to 5 months, reflecting a highly plastic period in infant brain development and in child‐environment interactions. Abstract
