A pointwise approximation theorem for linear combinations of Bernstein polynomials

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 1, Issue 4, Page 397-406, 1996., 1996
Recently, Z. Ditzian gave an interesting direct estimate for Bernstein polynomials. In this paper we give direct and inverse results of this type for linear combinations of Bernstein polynomials.

Eighteenth Order Convergent Method for Solving Non-Linear Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we suggest and discuss an iterative method for solving nonlinear equations of the type f(x)=0 having eighteenth order convergence. This new technique based on Newton’s method and extrapolated Newton’s method.

Statistical approximation properties of λ-Bernstein operators based on q-integers

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
In this paper, we introduce a new generalization of λ-Bernstein operators based on q-integers, we obtain the moments and central moments of these operators, establish a statistical approximation theorem and give an example to show the convergence of ...

Bivariate Maximum Product–Type Favard–Szasz–Mirakyan and Meyer–König–Zeller Operators

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In the present paper, we set up the structure of the bivariate maximum product (max‐product)–type of Meyer–König and Zeller operators and Favard–Szasz–Mirakyan operators corresponding to the linear univariate counterparts. Then, we provide an error estimation for these bivariate max‐product type operators in terms of the modulus of continuity.

A method of summability of Lagrange interpolation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 19-25, 1994., 1992
The author uses in this paper a technique from numerical integration (see [9]) to get a discretely defined operator, which is a modification of the Lagrange operator. Therefore we improve with the linear summation method a result presented in [12] and we also point out a solution for a problem of P.L.Butzer in the proceedings of the Budapest conference

A−Summation process in the space of locally integrable functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, using the concept of summation process, we give a Korovkin type approximation theorem for a sequence of positive linear operators acting from Lp,q (loc) , the space of locally integrable functions, into itself.

Quantitative estimates for perturbed sampling Kantorovich operators in Orlicz spaces

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In the present work, we establish a quantitative estimate for the perturbed sampling Kantorovich operators in Orlicz spaces, in terms of the modulus of smoothness, defined by means of its modular functional.

On the order of approximation by modified summation-integral-type operators based on two parameters

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
In this article, we the study generalized family of positive linear operators based on two parameters, which are a broad family of many well-known linear positive operators, e.g., Baskakov-Durrmeyer, Baskakov-Szász, Szász-Beta, Lupaş-Beta, Lupaş-Szász ...
