Exterior products of operators and superoptimal analytic approximation

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 8, Issue 1, Page 299-412, December 2021., 2021
Abstract We give a new algorithm for the construction of the unique superoptimal analytic approximant of a given continuous matrix‐valued function on the unit circle, using exterior powers of operators in preference to spectral or Wiener–Masani factorizations.

Dunkl wavelets and applications to inversion of the Dunkl intertwining operator and its dual

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 6, Page 285-293, 2004., 2004
We define and study Dunkl wavelets and the corresponding Dunkl wavelets transforms, and we prove for these transforms Plancherel and reconstruction formulas. We give as application the inversion of the Dunkl intertwining operator and its dual.

On the Lebedev transformation in Hardy′s spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 66, Page 3603-3616, 2004., 2004
We establish the inverse Lebedev expansion with respect to parameters and arguments of the modified Bessel functions for an arbitrary function from Hardy′s space H2,A, A > 0. This gives another version of the Fourier‐integral‐type theorem for the Lebedev transform. The result is generalized for a weighted Hardy space H⌢2,A≡H⌢2((−A,A);|Γ(1+Rez+iτ)|2dτ),

Estimates of convolutions of certain number‐theoretic error terms

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 1, Page 1-23, 2004., 2004
Several estimates for the convolution function C [f(x)]:=∫1xf(y) f(x/y)(dy/y) and its iterates are obtained when f(x) is a suitable number‐theoretic error term. We deal with the case of the asymptotic formula for ∫0T|ζ(1/2+it)|2kdt(k = 1, 2), the general Dirichlet divisor problem, the problem of nonisomorphic Abelian groups of given order, and the ...

The Bessel‐Struve intertwining operator on ℂ and mean‐periodic functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 59, Page 3171-3185, 2004., 2004
We give a description of all transmutation operators from the Bessel‐Struve operator to the second‐derivative operator. Next we define and characterize the mean‐periodic functions on the space ℋ of entire functions and we characterize the continuous linear mappings from ℋ into itself which commute with Bessel‐Struve operator.

Wavelet analysis on a Boehmian space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 15, Page 917-926, 2003., 2003
We extend the wavelet transform to the space of periodic Boehmians and discuss some of its properties.

Integral equations of the first kind of Sonine type

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2003, Issue 57, Page 3609-3632, 2003., 2003
A Volterra integral equation of the first kind Kφ(x):≡∫−∞xk(x−t)φ(t)dt=f(x) with a locally integrable kernel k(x)∈L1loc(ℝ+1) is called Sonine equation if there exists another locally integrable kernel ℓ(x) such that ∫0xk(x−t)ℓ(t)dt≡1 (locally integrable divisors of the unit, with respect to the operation of convolution). The formal inversion φ(x)=(d/dx)

Analytical investigations of the Sumudu transform and applications to integral production equations

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2003, Issue 3, Page 103-118, 2003., 2003
The Sumudu transform, whose fundamental properties are presented in this paper, is little known and not widely used. However, being the theoretical dual to the Laplace transform, the Sumudu transform rivals it in problem solving. Having scale and unit‐preserving properties, the Sumudu transform may be used to solve problems without resorting to a new ...

About calculation of the Hankel transform using preliminary wavelet transform

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2003, Issue 6, Page 319-325, 2003., 2003
The purpose of this paper is to present an algorithm for evaluating Hankel transform of the null and the first kind. The result is the exact analytical representation as the series of the Bessel and Struve functions multiplied by the wavelet coefficients of the input function.

On a generalized Jacobi transform

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Volume 15, Issue 4, Page 371-385, 2002., 2002
In this paper, we study a generalized Jacobi transform and obtain images of certain functions under this transform. Furthermore, we define a Jacobi random variable and derive its moments, distribution function, and characteristic function.
