The dual integral equation method in hydromechanical systems
Some hydromechanical systems are investigated by applying the dual integral equation method. In developing this method we suggest from elementary appropriate solutions of Laplace′s equation, in the domain under consideration, the introduction of a potential function which provides useful combinations in cylindrical and spherical coordinates systems ...

Mass transport problems obtained as limits of p-Laplacian type problems with spatial dependence
We consider the following problem: given a bounded convex domain Ω⊂ℝN${\Omega \subset \mathbb {R}^N}$ we consider the limit as p → ∞ of solutions to -div(bp-p|Du|p-2Du)=f+-f-${- \operatorname{div} (b_{p}^{-p} |Du|^{p-2} Du)=f_+ - f_-}$ in Ω and bp-p|Du|p-

Measures of Noncompactness in a Banach Algebra and Their Applications
In this paper we study the existence of solutions of a nonlinear quadratic integral equation of fractional order. This equation is considered in the Banach space of real functions defined, continuous and bounded on the real half axis. Additionally, using

A generalized quasilinear technique is employed to derive iterative schemes for nonlinear Volterra integral equations under various monotonicity and convexity (concavity) conditions on the kernels. The iterates in the schemes are linear, and converge monotonically, uniformly and quadratically to the unique solution.

Some properties of the functional equation
A discussion is given of some of the properties of the functional Volterra Integral equation and of the corresponding multidimensional equation. Sufficient conditions are given for the uniqueness of the solution, and an iterational process is provided for the construction of the solution, together with error estimates.

On Schr\"odinger's equation, 3-dimensional Bessel bridges, and passage time problems
In this work we relate the density of the first-passage time of a Wiener process to a moving boundary with the three dimensional Bessel bridge process and a solution of the heat equation with a moving boundary.
