Positive μ-pseudo almost periodic solutions for some nonlinear infinite delay integral equations arising in epidemiology using Hilbert’s projective metric

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2018
The purpose of this work is to give sufficient conditions which guarantee the existence and the uniqueness of positive μ-pseudo almost periodic solutions for the nonlinear infinite delay integral equation . We improve the original work of [H. S. Ding, Y.

Quadratically converging iterative schemes for nonlinear Volterra integral equations and an application

open access: yesInternational Journal of Stochastic Analysis, Volume 10, Issue 2, Page 169-178, 1997., 1996
A generalized quasilinear technique is employed to derive iterative schemes for nonlinear Volterra integral equations under various monotonicity and convexity (concavity) conditions on the kernels. The iterates in the schemes are linear, and converge monotonically, uniformly and quadratically to the unique solution.

Some properties of the functional equation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 14, Issue 1, Page 27-44, 1991., 1990
A discussion is given of some of the properties of the functional Volterra Integral equation and of the corresponding multidimensional equation. Sufficient conditions are given for the uniqueness of the solution, and an iterational process is provided for the construction of the solution, together with error estimates.

On Schr\"odinger's equation, 3-dimensional Bessel bridges, and passage time problems

open access: yes, 2010
In this work we relate the density of the first-passage time of a Wiener process to a moving boundary with the three dimensional Bessel bridge process and a solution of the heat equation with a moving boundary.

Blow-up behavior of collocation solutions to Hammerstein-type volterra integral equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We analyze the blow-up behavior of one-parameter collocation solutions for Hammerstein-type Volterra integral equations (VIEs) whose solutions may blow up in finite time.

Innovative Aspects of the Solvability of Multiterm Hybrid Functional Equations via Nonlocal Hybrid Conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This paper explores the solvability of multiterm hybrid functional equations with multiple delays, addressing these equations under some nonlocal hybrid boundary conditions. By applying Schauder fixed‐point theorem, we establish the existence of continuous solutions and provide sufficient requirements for the continuous dependence of the unique ...

A note on the existence of non-monotone non-oscillating wavefronts

open access: yes, 2013
In this note, we present a monostable delayed reaction-diffusion equation with the unimodal birth function which admits only non-monotone wavefronts.

On the Solution of n‐Product of 2D‐Hadamard–Volterra Integral Equations in Banach Algebra

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this study, the solvability of a general form of product type of n‐classes of 2D‐Hadamard–Volterra integral equations in the Banach algebra C([1, a] × [1, b]) is studied and investigated under more general and weaker assumptions. We use a general form of the Petryshyn’s fixed point theorem (F.P.T.) in combination with a suitable measure of ...
