On weighted mean matrices whose $l^p$ norms are determined on decreasing sequences [PDF]
We give a condition on weighted mean matrices so that their $l^p$ norms are determined on decreasing sequences when the condition is satisfied. We apply our result to give a proof of a conjecture of Bennett and discuss some related results.

Some reverse $l_p$-type inequalities involving certain quasi monotone sequences
In this paper, we give some $l_p$-type inequalities about sequences satisfying certain quasi monotone type properties. As special cases, reverse $l_p$-type inequalities for non-negative decreasing sequences are obtained.

Scalar approximants of quadratic operators with applications
Among other results, we find the best scalar approximant of a quadratic operator with respect to the numerical radius and the operator norm. We use these results to give estimates for the numerical radii of products and commutators of quadratic operators.

A matrix subadditivity inequality for symmetric norms [PDF]
Well-known subadditivity results for positive operators (of Brown-Kosaki and Rotfeld/Ando-Zhan types) are extended to Hermitian and normal ones. Applications to Cartesian decomposition and block-matrices are given.

The new reverses of Young type inequalities for numbers, operators and matrices
In this note, we give reverses of Young inequality for numbers. Then we establish operator and matrix inequalities corresponding the obtained numerical inequalities. Mathematics subject classification (2010): 47A30, 15A42, 15A60.

On the metrizability of suprametric space
The question of metrizability of suprametric space is answered positively. The observed metric coincides with a suprametric in a way that convergence and continuity are preserved between suprametric space and associated metric space along with the ...

On weighted remainder form of Hardy-type inequalities [PDF]
We use different approaches to study a generalization of a result of Levin and Ste\v{c}kin concerning an inequality analogous to Hardy's inequality. Our results lead naturally to the study of weighted remainder form of Hardy-type inequalities.

Remarks on some singular value inequalities
In this short note, we present new proofs for some singular value inequalities for matrices obtained by I. Garg and J. Aulja. Mathematics subject classification (2010): 47A30, 15A60.
