The group reduction for bounded cosine functions on UMD spaces [PDF]
It is shown that if A generates a bounded cosine operator function on a UMD space X, then i(-A)^{1/2} generates a bounded C_0-group. The proof uses a transference principle for cosine functions.

Distributed Order Calculus: an Operator-Theoretic Interpretation [PDF]
Within the functional calculi of Bochner-Phillips and Hirsch, we describe the operators of distributed order differentiation and integration as functions of the classical differentiation and integration operators respectively.

Hyperinvariant subspace for weighted composition operator on $L^p([0,1]^d)$ [PDF]
The main result of this paper is the existence of a hyperinvariant subspace of weighted composition operator $Tf=vf\circ\tau$ on $L^p([0,1]^d)$, ($1 \leq p \leq \infty$) when the weight $v$ is in the class of ``generalized polynomials'' and the composition map is a bijective ergodic transform satisfying a given discrepancy.

A shorter proof of a result by Potapov and Sukochev on Lipschtiz functions on $S^p$ [PDF]
In this short note we give a short proof of a recent result by Potapov and Sukochev (arXiv:0904.4095v1), stating that a Lipschitz function on the real line remains Lipschitz on the (self-adjoint part of) non-commutative $L_p$ spaces with $1
