Kittaneh [1] extended a result of G. Weiss concerning commutators of trace zero. In this note we show that the operators that Kittaneh proved to satisfy such an extension are almost normal operators that satisfy a conjecture of Voiculescu.

An extension of Fuglede-Putnam theorem for certain posinormal operators

An asymmetric Fuglede-Putnam Theorem for certain posinormal operators is proved. As a consequence of this result, we obtain that the range of the generalized derivation induced by these classes of operators is orthogonal to its kernel.
