Some endomorphisms of II_1 factors [PDF]
For any finite dimensional C^*-algebra A, we give an endomorphism \Phi of the hyperfinite II_1 factor R of finite Jones index such that: for all k \in \mathbb {N}, \Phi^k (R)' \cap R= \otimes^k A. The Jones index [R: \Phi (R)]= (rank (A))^2, here rank (A) is the dimension of the maximal abelian subalgebra of A.

Some endomorphisms of II_1 factors: part II [PDF]
For any finite dimensional C^*-algebra A with a trace vector \vec s whose entries are rational numbers, we give an endomorphism \Phi of the hyperfinite II_1 factor R such that: for all k \in \mathbb {N}, \Phi^k (R)' \cap R= \otimes^k A. The canonical trace \tau on R extends the trace vector \vec s on A.

Some Formulae for Norms of Elementary Operators [PDF]
We present a formula for the norm of an elementary operator on a C*-algebra that seems to be new. The formula involves (matrix) numerical ranges and a kind of geometrical mean for positive matrices, the tracial geometric mean, which seems not to have been studied previously and has interesting properties.

In this paper, we present some results about the aproximation of fixed points of nonexpansive and enriched nonexpansive operators. In order to approximate the fixed points of enriched nonexpansive mappings, we use the Krasnoselskii-Mann iteration for ...

Amenability properties of the centres of group algebras [PDF]
Let G be a locally compact group, and ZL1(G) be the centre of its group algebra. We show that when $G$ is compact ZL1(G) is not amenable when G is either nonabelian and connected, or is a product of infinitely many finite nonabelian groups. We also, study, for some non-compact groups G, some conditions which imply amenability and hyper-Tauberian ...

Pointwise approximation by elementary complete contractions [PDF]
A complete contraction on a C*-algebra A, which preserves all closed two sided ideals J, can be approximated pointwise by elementary complete contractions if and only if the induced map on the tensor product of B with A/J is contractive for every C*-algebra B, ideal J in A and C*-tensor norm on the tensor product.

A trace inequality for non-commuting hyponormal tuples
International Journal of Mathematical Analysis, 2022We introduce the class of almost right hyponormal and almost jointly hyponormal multi-operators and give a sufficient condition for some “commutator” associated to such multi-operators to belong to the trace class.
