Connes-amenability and normal, virtual diagonals for measure algebras, I [PDF]
We prove that the measure algebra $M(G)$ of a locally compact group $G$ is Connes-amenable if and only if $G$ is amenable.

About instability in an elastic Cosserat body with pores
This article is centered on the study of the isotropic, porous Cosserat elastic media, realized by means of a parallel with the media of the same type, but anisotropic, by following the rewriting in a new form of the equations that govern this theory ...

Connes-amenability and normal, virtual diagonals for measure algebras, II [PDF]
We prove that the following are equivalent for a locally compact group $G$: (i) $G$ is amenable; (ii) $M(G)$ is Connes-amenable; (iii) $M(G)$ has a normal, virtual diagonal.

Norms and CB norms of Jordan elementary operators [PDF]
We establish lower bounds for norms and CB-norms of elementary operators on B(H). Our main result concerns the operator Tx = axb + bxa and we show its norm is at least the product of the norms of a and b, proving a conjecture of M. Mathieu. We also establish some other results and formulae for the CB norm and norm of such T for special cases.

Some conditions under which Jordan derivations are zero
In the current article, we obtain the following results: Let A be an algebra and P be a semi-prime ideal of A. Suppose that d:Aâ(A/P) is a Jordan derivation such that dim{d(a)|aâA}â¤1. If d(P)={0}, then d is zero.

Commutator lifting inequalities and interpolation [PDF]
In this paper we obtain a multivariable commutator lifting inequality, which extends to several variables a recent result of Foias, Frazho, and Kaashoek. The inequality yields a multivariable lifting theorem generalizing the noncommutative commutant lifting theorem. This is used to solve new operator-valued interpolation problems of Schur-Caratheodory,

Approximate $(σ-τ)$-Contractibility [PDF]
In this paper, the generalized Hyers--Ulam--Rassias stability of $(\sigma-\tau)$-derivations on normed algebras into Banach bimodules is established. We introduce the notion of approximate $(\sigma-\tau)$-contractibility and prove that a Banach algebra is $(\sigma-\tau)$-contractible if and only if it is approximately $(\sigma-\tau)$-Contractible.

On the metrizability of suprametric space
The question of metrizability of suprametric space is answered positively. The observed metric coincides with a suprametric in a way that convergence and continuity are preserved between suprametric space and associated metric space along with the ...

Beurling-Pollard type theorems [PDF]
We establish a version of the Beurling-Pollard theorem for operator synthesis and apply it to derive some results on linear operator equations and to prove a Beurling-Pollard type theorem for Varopoulos tensor algebras. Additionally we establish a Beurling-Pollard theorem for weighted Fourier algebras and use it to obtain ascent estimates for operators
