Approximate solvability method for nonlocal impulsive evolution equation

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2023
In this article, without assuming the compactness of semigroup, we deal with the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution for semilinear impulsive evolution equation with nonlocal condition in a reflexive Banach space by applying the approximate ...

M-hypercyclicity of C0-semigroup and Svep of its generator

open access: yesConcrete Operators, 2021
Let š’Æ = (Tt)t≄0 be a C0-semigroup on a separable infinite dimensional Banach space X, with generator A. In this paper, we study the relationship between the single valued extension property of generator A, and the M-hypercyclicity of the C0-semigroup ...

Monoids, their boundaries, fractals and C*-algebras

open access: yesTopological Algebra and its Applications, 2020
In this note we establish some connections between the theory of self-similar fractals in the sense of John E. Hutchinson (cf. [3]), and the theory of boundary quotients of C*-algebras associated to monoids.

A modification to the conformable fractional calculus with some applications

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
In the conformable fractional calculus, TαTβ≠TβTα and IαIβ≠IβIα, where Tα and Iα are conformable fractional differential and integral operators, respectively. Also, Tβ≠Tnα and Iβ≠Inα, where β=nα for some n∈N.

Continuous spectrum of the 3D Euler equation is a solid annulus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this note we give a description of the continuous spectrum of the linearized Euler equations in three dimensions. Namely, for all but countably many times $t\in \R$, the continuous spectrum of the evolution operator $G_t$ is given by a solid annulus ...

Upper estimates of transition densities for stable-dominated semigroups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We derive upper estimates of transition densities for Feller semigroups with jump intensities lighter than that of the rotation invariant stable Levy processComment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:0903 ...

On a higher‐order evolution equation with a Stepanov‐bounded solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 72, Page 3959-3964, 2004., 2004
We study strong solutions u : ā„ → X, a Banach space X, of the nth‐order evolution equation u(n) āˆ’ Au(nāˆ’1) = f, an infinitesimal generator of a strongly continuous group A : D(A)āŠ†X → X, and a given forcing term f : ā„ → X. It is shown that if X is reflexive, u and u(nāˆ’1) are Stepanov‐bounded, and f is Stepanov almost periodic, then u and all derivatives ...

On scalar type spectral operators, infinite differentiable and Gevrey ultradifferentiable C0‐semigroups

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 45, Page 2401-2422, 2004., 2004
Necessary and sufficient conditions for a scalar type spectral operator in a Banach space to be a generator of an infinite differentiable or a Gevrey ultradifferentiable C0‐semigroup are found, the latter formulated exclusively in terms of the operator′s spectrum.

Laplace transform generation theorems and local Cauchy problems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2004, Issue 1, Page 69-90, 2004., 2004
We give new criterions to decide if some vector‐valued function is a local Laplace transform and apply this to the theory of local Cauchy problems. This leads to an improvement of known results and new Hille‐Yosida‐type theorems for local convoluted semigroups.
