Weak Compatibility and Common Fixed Point Theorems for A-Contractive and E-expansive Maps in Uniform Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 47H10, 54E15.The purpose of this paper is to define the notion of A-distance and E-distance in uniform spaces and give several new common fixed point results for weakly compatible contractive or expansive ...

Strong convergence for the modified Mann's iteration of $\lambda$-strict pseudocontraction

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, for an $\lambda$-strict pseudocontraction $T$, we prove strong convergence of the modified Mann's iteration defined by $$x_{n+1}=\beta_{n}u+\gamma_nx_n+(1-\beta_{n}-\gamma_n)[\alpha_{n}Tx_n+(1-\alpha_{n})x_n],$$ where $\{\alpha_{n}\}$, $ \{

Cone metric spaces with Banach algebras and fixed point theorems of generalized Lipschitz mappings

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we introduce the concept of cone metric spaces with Banach algebras, replacing Banach spaces by Banach algebras as the underlying spaces of cone metric spaces.

Stationary and Nonstationary Iterative Methods for Generalized Nonexpansive Mappings in Uniformly Convex Banach Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
The aim of this paper is to present a novel stationary and nonstationary iterative approach for approximating common fixed points of a finite family of generalized nonexpansive mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. For the stationary scheme, both strong and weak convergence theorems are established under standard geometric conditions.

Generalized common fixed point theorems in complex valued metric spaces and applications

open access: yes, 2012
Recently, Azam et al. introduced new spaces called the complex valued metric spaces and established the existence of fixed point theorems under the contraction condition.

A Nadler-type fixed point theorem in dislocated spaces and applications

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, we introduce the concept of a Hausdorff dislocated metric . We initiate the study of fixed point theory for multi-valued mappings on dislocated metric space using the Hausdorff dislocated metric and we prove a generalization of the well ...

Fixed Point Results for Coupled Large Kannan Contraction Using W‐Distance and Its Application to Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In the present paper, we employ the notion of w‐distance to prove a large Kannan‐type contraction inequality in metric spaces. The notion of a coupled large Kannan contraction is introduced, and by using the Geraghty‐type control function, we derive fixed point results in metric spaces with and without partial order.

A system of additive functional equations in complex Banach algebras

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
In this article, we solve the system of additive functional equations: 2f(x+y)−g(x)=g(y),g(x+y)−2f(y−x)=4f(x)\left\{\phantom{\rule[-1.25em]{}{0ex}}\begin{array}{l}2f\left(x+y)-g\left(x)=g(y),\\ g\left(x+y)-2f(y-x)=4f\left(x)\end{array}\right.

Generalized metrics and Caristi’s theorem

open access: yes, 2013
A ‘generalized metric space’ is a semimetric space which does not satisfy the triangle inequality, but which satisfies a weaker assumption called the quadrilateral inequality.
