The first near-infrared detection of XTE J1118 + 480 in quiescence

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society: Letters, 2005
We report the first quiescent detection of KV UMa, the optical counterpart of XTE J1118+480 at near infrared. The observed magnitudes and colours are consistent with a K7-M0 V star, at the distance 1.4 +/- 0.2 kpc.

Visualization of dynamic behavior of liquid water in the microporous layer of polymer electrolyte fuel cell during water injection by time-resolved X-ray computed tomography

open access: yesElectrochemistry Communications, 2021
Liquid water behavior in the microporous layer (MPL) of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) was investigated using time-resolved X-ray computed micro-tomography (CT) to elucidate the unsteady flow during flooding.
