Legislative Framework for Sustainable Development of the 4th Generation District Heating System

open access: yesEnergy Procedia, 2016
AbstractThe concept of the 4th generation district heating system (4GDH) has triggered a magnified interest among scientists and industry representatives worldwide. Therefore, sustainable development of 4GDH requires deliberative energy planning at the national and local level, and appropriate legislative framework.

Reusable SERS Substrate Based on AuNP/PS‐b‐P2VP Nanocomposites With Photocatalytic Activity

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
We developed a bifunctional SERS substrate by assembling AuNPs on PS‐b‐P2VP thin films, capable of both sensitive molecular detection and UV‐assisted self‐cleaning. The platform demonstrates excellent reusability over four adsorption–degradation cycles, driven by a hot‐hole‐mediated photocatalytic mechanism without semiconductors.

Navigating the Rapids: How Non‐Governmental Organization Managers Develop Strategic Adaptation to Repressive Political Environments

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article explores the management adaptation strategies non‐governmental organizations (NGOs) managers employ in order to operate in repressive political environments. It answers the question: how do NGO managers initiate, manage and sustain internal change when the political/regulatory environment changes?

Effect of recycling on mechanical and physical properties of polycarbonate/acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PC/ABS/PMMA) blends

open access: yesPolymer International, EarlyView.
The 100% recycling of optimal polycarbonate/acrylonitrile–butadiene–styrene/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PC/ABS/PMMA) blends, identified through the mixture design, over multiple successive cycles provides valuable insights into their life cycle. Subsequently, chemical, rheological, thermal and mechanical characterizations will be carried out to evaluate
