The Meijer transformation of generalized functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1987
This paper extends the Meijer transformation, Mμ, given by (Mμf)(p)=2pΓ(1+μ)∫0∞f(t)(pt)μ/2Kμ(2pt)dt, where f belongs to an appropriate function space, μ ϵ (−1,∞) and Kμ is the modified Bessel function of third kind of order μ, to certain generalized ...

Submicrosecond Electric Switching of Large Birefringence in the Isotropic Phase of Ferroelectric Nematics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate ultra‐fast and efficient electro‐optical switching using the isotropic phase of ferroelectric nematic liquid crystals. A moderate electric field induces a transition to polar ferroelectric nematic order, producing large field‐induced birefringence with sub‐microsecond switch‐on and switch‐off times. This advance enables new opportunities

Auxin‐Producing Pseudomonas Recruited by Root Flavonoids Increases Rice Rhizosheath Formation through the Bacterial Histidine Kinase Under Soil Drying

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Drought is a major cause of crop losses across agricultural regions. Rhizosheath formation enhances plant resistance to drought. Polyploids may tolerate stress more effectively through increased interactions with bacteria. However, the contributions of tetraploid rice associated microbiota to rhizosheath formation under soil drying remain unclear ...

Renewable Energy Promotion Instruments Used by Innovation Brokers in a Technology Transfer Network. Case Study of the Enterprise Europe Network

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Stable and sustainable economic development—including that of renewable energy resources (RES)—requires institutional support of an environment that would enable market operations, and support them in case they are ineffective.

PRO‐LDM: A Conditional Latent Diffusion Model for Protein Sequence Design and Functional Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PRO‐LDM is a modular latent diffusion framework that learns hierarchical biological representations to enable efficient and high‐fidelity protein design. PRO‐LDM can design species that resemble natural sequences with enhanced diversity or optimize protein functions.
