Comment on "Transformation of phase velocity among inertial frames [Wave Motion 50 (2013) 520-524, https://doi.org/10.1063/1.1888051]" [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The transformation formulas between two inertial frames for the minimum phase velocity and the phase velocity in an arbitrary direction are given. The derived transformation formula for the reciprocal of the phase velocity along the particle's direction of motion is a correction of the formula provided by J.J. Zhang and P.X.

Integration of Perovskite/Low‐Dimensional Material Heterostructures for Optoelectronics and Artificial Visual Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Heterojunctions combining halide perovskites with low‐dimensional materials enhance optoelectronic devices by enabling precise charge control and improving efficiency, stability, and speed. These synergies advance flexible electronics, wearable sensors, and neuromorphic computing, mimicking biological vision for real‐time image analysis and intelligent

Bacteria‐Derived Extracellular Vesicle as A “Trojan Horse” for Selective M1 Macrophage‐Targeting in A Multi‐Cellular Entanglement Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The temporary transition of macrophages from a pro‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M1) to an anti‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M2) is crucial for tissue repair and regeneration processes. Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are utilized as a “trojan horse” for specific M1 macrophage‐targeting and anti‐inflammatory drug delivery ...

In-depth correlation analysis demonstrates that 4-hydroxyproline at the Yaa position of Gly-Xaa-Yaa repeats dominantly stabilizes collagen triple helix

open access: yesMatrix Biology Plus, 2021
There is a general consensus that collagen stability is largely maintained by Pro and its major hydroxylated form, 4-hydroxyproline (4Hyp). However, positional difference in their stabilizing effect at the Xaa or Yaa position of collagenous Gly-Xaa-Yaa ...

Short-period 520-km observation of the 520 km discontinuity in northern Eurasia.

open access: yes, 1997
Short-period three-component recordings of the seismic wave field of peaceful nuclear explosions (PNEs) along several long-range profiles in northern Eurasia are analyzed to study the structure of the upper mantle. We use the date to search for evidence of the disputed 520 km discontinuity in the mantle transition zone.

Double Cross‐Linked Hydrogel for Intra‐articular Injection as Modality for Macrophages Metabolic Reprogramming and Therapy of Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrogel for intra‐articular injection for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is formulated and comprehensively studied. After administration, the hydrogel induces a metabolic reprogramming of immunometabolism of macrophages to trigger fatty acid oxidation subsequently inducing polarization of anti‐inflammatory M2 macrophages. This results in

Geometric Origin of Staggered Fermion: Direct Product K-Cycle [PDF]

open access: yesCommun.Theor.Phys. 39 (2003) 519-520, 2001
Staggered formalism of lattice fermion can be cast into a form of direct product K-cycle in noncommutative geometry. The correspondence between this staggered K-cycle and a canonically defined K-cycle for finitely generated abelian group where lattice appears as a special case is proved.
