Development of Aluminum Scandium Alloys for Hydrogen Storage Valves
Different aluminum alloy series and various aluminum‐scandium alloys with differing Sc and Zr levels are evaluated for use in hydrogen storage valve production. The alloys undergo hardness testing, optical microscopy, and tensile strength analysis, with hardening behavior studied under varying conditions.

Self-healing of optical functions by molecular metabolism in a swollen elastomer
Optical functions of organic dyes, e.g., fluorescence or photochromism, tend to degrade by light irradiation, which causes a short lifetime of photonic devices.

Phenol degradation using 20, 300 and 520 kHz ultrasonic reactors with hydrogen peroxide, ozone and zero valent metals [PDF]
The extent of phenol degradation by the advanced oxidation process in the presence of zero valent iron (ZVI) and zero valent copper (ZVC) was studied using 20, 300 and 520 kHz ultrasonic (US) reactors.

A memristor property of an amorphous Sn–Ga–O (α-TGO) thin-film device deposited using a mist chemical-vapor-deposition (mist-CVD) method has been found. The α-TGO device can be manufactured at a low cost because it does not include rare metals such as In.

Protonic ceramic fuel cells offer a promising route to generate power efficiently but face critical challenges in achieving industrially viable activity and stability at their cathodes in CO2‐containing air. This report proposes a new cathode material design strategy to enable the cathode to be both catalytically active and CO2 tolerant through the ...

Desires, norms and constraints [PDF]
This paper deals with modeling mental states of a rational agent, in particular states based on agent’s desires. It shows that the world the agent belongs to forces it to restrict its desires. More precisely, desires of a rational agent are restricted by

Fabrication of 5-20 nm thick β-W films
A technique to fabricate 5 to 20 nm thick sputter deposited β W films on SiO2 and Si substrates is presented. This is achieved by growing tungsten on a 5 nm SiO2 layer or in an oxygen controlled environment by flowing 2 sccm of O2 during deposition ...

Magnetism in nanometer-thick magnetite [PDF]
The oldest known magnetic material, magnetite, is of current interest for use in spintronics as a thin film. An open question is how thin can magnetite films be and still retain the robust ferrimagnetism required for many applications.
