Interactions Between Active Matters and Endogenous Fields

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review synthesizes endogenous field information and computational methods in contexts such as cancer, wounds, and biofilms. It organizes NAMs and AAMs by sensing, transmitting, and executing functions, compares their limitations, and from these contrasts proposes design strategies for next‐generation AAMs, offering perspectives to foster ...

Gel‐Gel Interface Engineering for the Synthesis of Anisotropic Hydrogels with Designable Polymer Orientations

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports that when a gel‐gel interface is intentionally introduced into a hydrogel via two‐step polymerization, the polymer networks near the interface spontaneously align perpendicular to it. By employing a photo‐initiator system to spatially control the gel‐gel interface, anisotropic hydrogels with programmable orientations of polymer ...

Perovskite Microwires for Room Temperature Exciton‐Polariton Neural Network

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Exciton‐polaritons are explored as a novel platform for optical neuromorphic computing at room temperature using a monocrystalline perovskite waveguide. Demonstrating non‐equilibrium Bose‐Einstein condensation, this work achieves machine learning tasks such as classification and object detection, marking a key advance toward energy‐efficient, practical

Bias‐Free Solar Upcycling of Nitrate and Glycerol with Highly Efficient and Durable Organic Semiconductor‐Based Photoelectrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A bias‐free photoelectrochemical (PEC) upcycling system integrating bi‐functional nickel‐iron‐phosphorus (Ni‐Fe‐P) catalysts with organic semiconductor (OS)‐based dual photoelectrodes is reported. The system enables simultaneous solar‐driven conversion of nitrate to ammonia and glycerol to formic acid with high efficiency and stability.
