Geometric control theory of vertical rolling disc using symmetries [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
We use the methods of geometric control theory to study extremal trajectories of vertical rolling disk. We focus on the role of symmetries of the underlying geometric structures. We demonstrate the computations in the CAS Maple package DifferentialGeometry.

Periodic Orbits in the Kepler-Heisenberg Problem

open access: yes, 2013
One can formulate the classical Kepler problem on the Heisenberg group, the simplest sub-Riemannian manifold. We take the sub-Riemannian Hamiltonian as our kinetic energy, and our potential is the fundamental solution to the Heisenberg sub-Laplacian. The

Dependence of vector fields and singular controls [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We show an example providing a significance in geometric control theory of the existence of the dependence locus of a system of vector fields in particular, the generic appearance of non-trivial singular trajectories embedded in the dependence locus.

Variational properties of local functionals driven by arbitrary anisotropies [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We provide integral representation and $\Gamma$-compactness results for anisotropic local functionals depending on arbitrary Lipschitz continuous vector fields. In particular, neither bracket-generating assumptions nor linear independence conditions are required.
