Surface boron modification of an anthraquinone‐2‐sulfonate‐intercalated NiFe layered double hydroxide film for durable anodic operation in chloride‐containing alkaline electrolyte

open access: yesBulletin of the Korean Chemical Society, EarlyView.
A mild NaBH4$$ {\mathrm{NaBH}}_4 $$ treatment condenses boron onto binder‐free NiFe−LDH$$ \mathrm{NiFe}-\mathrm{LDH} $$ films on Ni foil. In chloride‐containing alkali at 200mAcm−2$$ 200\ \mathrm{mA}\ {\mathrm{cm}}^{-2} $$, the boron‐modified film lasts 87 h versus 13 h for untreated film.
