Influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance and advantages of restricting antimicrobial use based on cumulative antibiograms in dogs with Staphylococcus pseudintermedius infections in Japan

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 32, Issue 6, Page 668-e178, December 2021., 2021
Background Antimicrobial resistance in Staphylococcus pseudintermedius (SP) and the prevalence of meticillin‐resistant SP (MRSP) is increasing in dogs worldwide. Objectives To evaluate the influence of hospital size on antimicrobial resistance of SP and whether restricted use of antimicrobials based on antibiograms could reduce the identification of ...

Projective versions of the properties in the Scheepers Diagram [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Let $\mathcal{P}$ be a topological property. A.V. Arhangel'skii calls $X$ projectively $\mathcal{P}$ if every second countable continuous image of $X$ is $\mathcal{P}$. Lj.D.R.

On topological structures of fuzzy parametrized soft sets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper, we introduce the topological structure of fuzzy parametrized soft sets and fuzzy parametrized soft mappings. We define the notion of quasi-coincidence for fuzzy parametrized soft sets and investigated basic properties of it.

A selection theorem for simplex-valued maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The purpose of this short note is to prove the following theorem. Let X be a hereditarily normal paracompact Hausdorff space, K be a simplicial complex, and : X K be a function.

On the class of weakly almost contra-T*-continuous functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this paper is to introduce and investigate a new class of functions called weakly almost contra-$T^*$-continuity which is defined as a function from an operator topological space $(X, \tau, T)$ into an arbitrary topological space $(Y, \delta)$.

Magill‐type theorems for mappings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 26, Page 1379-1391, 2004., 2004
Magill′s and Rayburn′s theorems on the homeomorphism of Stone‐Čech remainders and some of their generalizations to the remainders of arbitrary Hausdorff compactifications of Tychonoff spaces are extended to some class of mappings.

On the omega-limit sets of tent maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
For a continuous map f on a compact metric space (X,d), a subset D of X is internally chain transitive if for every x and y in D and every delta > 0 there is a sequence of points {x=x_0,x_1, ...,x_n=y} such that d(f(x_i),x_{i+1}) < delta for i=0,1, ...,n-

Classification of weak continuities and decomposition of continuity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2004, Issue 51, Page 2755-2760, 2004., 2004
We first introduce 20 weak forms of continuity, which are closely related to 5 known weak forms of continuity. Then we classify them into 9 groups and give 12 decompositions of continuity.

Fuzzy properties in fuzzy convergence spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 29, Issue 12, Page 737-748, 2002., 2002
Based on the concept of limit of prefilters and residual implication, several notions in fuzzy topology are fuzzyfied in the sense that, for each notion, the degree to which it is fulfilled is considered. We establish therefore theories of degrees of compactness and relative compactness, of closedness, and of continuity.

Local connectivity and maps onto non‐metrizable arcs

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 20, Issue 4, Page 681-688, 1997., 1996
Three classes of locally connected continua which admit sufficiently many maps onto non‐metric arcs are investigated. It is proved that all continua in those classes are continuous images of arcs and, therefore, have other quite nice properties.
