Some counterexamples and properties on generalizations of Lindelöf spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 19, Issue 4, Page 737-746, 1996., 1995
In this paper we give some significative counterexamples to prove that some well known generalizations of Lindelöf property are proper. Also we give some new results, we introduce and study the almost regular‐Lindelof spaces as a generalization of the almost‐Lindelöf spaces and as a new and significative application of the quasi‐regular open subsets of

Degree of (L, M)-Fuzzy Semi-Precontinuous and (L, M)-Fuzzy Semi-Preirresolute Functions

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2018
The aim of this paper is to present the degree of semi-preopenness, semi-precontinuity, and semi-preirresoluteness for functions in (L, M)-fuzzy pretopology with the help of implication operation and (L, M)-fuzzy semi-preopen operator introduced by ...

Almost γ‐continuous functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 15, Issue 2, Page 379-384, 1992., 1990
In this paper, a new class of functions called “almost γ‐continuous” is introduced and their several properties are investigated. This new class is also utilized to improve some published results concerning weak continuity [6] and γ‐continuity [2].

Extensions of semicontinuous and quasi-continuous functions from dense subspaces

open access: yes, 2021
In this paper we give a sufficient condition for existence of an extension of a lower (upper) semicontinuous function 0 defined on a given dense subset of a topological space X to a lower (upper) semicontinuous function : X → ℝ.

A NOTE ON PRECONTINUOUS AND ALMOST PRECONTINUOUS MAPPINGS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Recently, a new class of functions between topological spaces called precontinuous functions [7] has been introduced and studied (see also [2], [4], [6]).

Weak C-embedding and P -embedding, and product spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Arhangel'skiȋ defines in [Topology Appl. 70 (1996) [Topology Appl. 93 (1999) 121-129]. Moreover, suggested by weak C-embedding, we define a notion of weak Pembedding, more precisely, weak P γ -embedding for an infinite cardinal γ , which is an ...

Lipschitz extension theorems with explicit constants

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces
In this mostly expository article, we give streamlined proofs of several well-known Lipschitz extension theorems. We pay special attention to obtaining statements with explicit expressions for the extension constants.

Some relative properties on normality and paracompactness, and their absolute embeddings

open access: yes, 2020
Dedicated to Professor Takao Hoshina on his 60th birthday. Abstract. Paracompactness (= 2-paracompactness) and normality of a subspace Y in a space X defined by Arhangel'skii and Genedi [4] are fundamental in the study of relative topological ...

A characterization of the prime closed filter compacttification of a topological space

open access: yes, 2002
Dedicated to our friends and fellow-topologists Eraldo Giuli, Mirek Hušek, and Gerhard Preuss on the occasion of their 60th birthday. The prime compactification whose points are the prime closed filters can be defined for a general topological space and ...
