Generalization of the Banach contraction principle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce the concept of shifting distance functions, and we establish a new fixed point theorem which generalizes the Banach contraction principle.

Solving Systems of Linear Integral Equations via Fixed Point Theory in Extended Parametric Sb‐Metric Spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The purpose of this article is to present some fixed point theorems to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of common fixed points for two mappings (not necessary continuous), satisfying generalized contractions involving rational expressions in the setting of extended parametric Sb‐metric spaces.

Some new fixed point theorems for nonexpansive-type mappings in geodesic spaces

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2022
In this article, we present some new fixed point existence results for nonexpansive-type mappings in geodesic spaces. We also give a number of illustrative examples to settle our claims.

Optimal approximate fixed point results in locally convex spaces

open access: yes, 2012
Let $C$ be a convex subset of a locally convex space. We provide optimal approximate fixed point results for sequentially continuous maps $f\colon C\to\bar{C}$. First we prove that if $f(C)$ is totally bounded, then it has an approximate fixed point net.

An Improvement of Recent Fixed Point Results in Double‐Composed Partial Metric Spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
More recently, a new concept of double‐composed partial metric space has been introduced, and the related Banach type and Kannan type fixed point results have been established. In this paper, we reconsider Banach type fixed point result in double‐composed partial metric spaces under new and simple assumptions.

A New Approach of Graphical Presentation in C∗‐Algebra‐Valued b‐Metric Spaces With an Application

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this paper, we introduced the new concept of a graphical presentation approach in C∗‐algebra‐valued b‐metric space (C∗AVbM‐space). We studied some new modified contraction conditions for single‐valued mappings in C∗AVbM‐spaces and proved the uniqueness of fixed point (FP) results in the said space with nontrivial illustrative examples.

Positive coincidence points for a class of nonlinear operators and their applications to matrix equations

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
Consider an ordered Banach space and f,gf,g two self-operators defined on the interior of its positive cone. In this article, we prove that the equation f(X)=g(X)f(X)=g(X) has a positive solution, whenever f is strictly α\alpha -concave g-monotone or ...

Fixed-point results for convex orbital operators

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2023
The aim of this article is to introduce a new type of operator similar to those of A. Petruşel and G. Petruşel type (Fixed point results for decreasing convex orbital operators, J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 23 (2021), no.

Weak and Semi Compatible Maps in Probabilistic Metric Space Using Implicit Relation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 54H25, 47H10.The concept of semi compatibility is given in probabilistic metric space and it has been applied to prove the existence of unique common fixed point of four self-maps with weak compatibility ...

Controlled Metric Space and Fixed Point Theorems for Jaggi–Suzuki–Type Hybrid Contraction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
In this paper, we introduce a new notion of generalized Jaggi–Suzuki–type hybrid contraction in the setting of controlled metric space and prove some fixed point theorems by making use of the same. A suitable example is also provided to prove the validity of our results.
