Common fixed point results for two families of multivalued A–dominated contractive mappings on closed ball with applications

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
The purpose of this paper is to find common fixed point results for two families of multivalued mappings fulfilling generalized rational type A–dominated contractive conditions on a closed ball in complete dislocated b-metric spaces. Some new fixed point

Maps on graphs can be deformed to be coincidence-free [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We give a construction to remove coincidence points of continuous maps on graphs (1-complexes) by changing the maps by homotopies. When the codomain is not homeomorphic to the circle, we show that any pair of maps can be changed by homotopies to be ...

Fixed Point Results for Coupled Large Kannan Contraction Using W‐Distance and Its Application to Integral Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In the present paper, we employ the notion of w‐distance to prove a large Kannan‐type contraction inequality in metric spaces. The notion of a coupled large Kannan contraction is introduced, and by using the Geraghty‐type control function, we derive fixed point results in metric spaces with and without partial order.

Generalization of the Banach contraction principle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce the concept of shifting distance functions, and we establish a new fixed point theorem which generalizes the Banach contraction principle.

A Study on Fixed‐Point Theory and Topological Structures Involving ϖb‐Distance on θ‐Complete Metric‐Type Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this paper, we introduce a family of topologies τp on metric‐type spaces (MTSs) using powers of the ϖb‐distance. Moreover, we investigate fundamental topological properties, including convergence, closed sets, Cauchy sequences, and Hausdorffness, showing how varying p > 0 affects these properties.

Two fixed point results on F-metric spaces

open access: yesTopological Algebra and its Applications, 2022
This paper presents two fixed point results for both single valued and multivalued mappings on F-metric spaces, which is introduced by Jleli and Samet [1]. First, we consider the concept of P-contraction for single valued mappings.

Compactification of a map which is mapped to itself [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We prove that if $T: X \to X$ is a selfmap of a set $X$ such that $\bigcap \{T^{n}X: n\in N}\}$ is a one-point set, then the set $X$ can be endowed with a compact Hausdorff topology so that $T$ is continuous.Comment: 5 ...

Extensions of Well‐Known Fixed‐Point Theorems to Quasi M‐Metric Spaces With Applications

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Fixed‐point theory has become a frequently studied topic due to its various applications in both metric spaces and generalized metric spaces. The fact that each study leads to new research also increases the importance of studying this theory. Under this perspective, the concept of quasi M‐metric spaces, which is an example of a generalized metric ...

Some Common Fixed Point Results for 𝒵E−Contractions in Modular b−Metric Spaces

open access: yesTopological Algebra and its Applications, 2022
The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate some common fixed point theorems for diverse E−contractions involving generalized Proinov-simulation functions in the setting of modular b−metric spaces.
