An Interpretation of 550 Me Particles

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1959
An explanation is offered for the failure of several authors to detect 550 Me particles. It is suggested that the 550 Me particles are particles charged with (Z = 1/2)e.

The assembly of Gondwana 800-550 Ma

Journal of Geodynamics, 1997
Abstract The formation of the supercontinent Gondwana heralded the beginning of the Phanerozoic following a complex series of collisional events after the break-up of earlier supercontinental assemblages. Paleomagnetic data are used to help distinguish between these events and it appears that there are three critical periods of mountain building ...

Over 550 V breakdown voltage of InAlN/GaN HEMT on Si

, 2013
InAlN/GaN high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) on Si substrate with a high breakdown voltage is reported. The observed off-state breakdown voltage was over 550 V and the specific on-state resistance was 0.7 mΩcm2 in the fabricated device with the ...

A 550 MeV injector microtron for max

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, 1982
Abstract A 550 MeV electron race-track microtron is described. The race-track microtron should be used as an injector for a pulse-stretcher/storage ring currently being built. Some of the basic theory for the race-strack microtron is discussed and some parameter values for the race-track microtron are given.

A Wide-Band 550-Megacycle Amplifier

Proceedings of the IRE, 1947
This paper describes a five-stage 550-megacycle amplifier having an over-all bandwidth of 20 megacycles and a gain of 10 decibels per stage. It uses a 2C43 triode in a grounded-grid circuit with an impedance-transforming band-pass filter in the output to give the desired bandwidth.
