Production of Early and Normal Harvest Olive Oils Under Industrial Conditions and Comprehensive Comparison of the Oils Produced

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, EarlyView.
Olives were harvested at early and normal times from the same orchards and processed in the same industrial plant under the same conditions and compared comprehensively. Although early harvested olive oils were liked more by consumers, their yield was lower. Further, some compositional differences existed.

Molecular iodine‐mediated functionalization of α‐Carbonyl Sulfoxonium ylides with Thiocyanates, Xanthates and Dithiocarbamates

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Accepted Article.
In this work, we present a straightforward, rapid, and cost‐effective protocol for synthesizing three distinct classes of α‐functionalized sulfoxonium ylides—α‐xanthate, α‐thiocyanate, and α‐dithiocarbamate—via molecular iodine‐mediated reactions. This method demonstrates broad substrate tolerance, including heterocycles and steroids, delivering 25 ...

Board effectiveness and internalization benefits: Theory and evidence from value creation in cross‐border acquisitions

open access: yesGlobal Strategy Journal, EarlyView.
Astract Research Summary We examine how the value created by technological and marketing intangible assets in foreign direct investment (FDI) varies with board effectiveness conditions. Synthesizing internalization and agency theories, we theorize that a firm can better leverage intangibles and create value through acquisitive FDI if its board setup ...

DE 551 Theory 3—Synthesis (2021)

open access: yes, 2021
The final theory course (DE 551—Theory 3, Synthesis) in 2021 was held under the conditions of the lockdown: we had learned a number of useful lessons from 2020, when the same course was run under the same conditions (Covid 19 lockdown). As during the previous year, the course was organised in small groups of 4 (Quads), to maintain face-to-face teaching

A Systematic Review of the Clinical Impact of Implementing Artificial Intelligence in Upper Aerodigestive Tract Endoscopy

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Endoscopy is essential in upper aerodigestive tract (UADT) examination, particularly in the early detection of laryngopharyngeal lesions. However, UADT endoscopy remains operator‐dependent and lacks standardized quality metrics. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have generated interest in applications within UADT ...
