Browsing Damage on Scots Pine: Direct and Indirect Effects of Landscape Characteristics, Moose and Deer Populations

open access: yesDiversity, 2022
Reducing browsing damages from cervids (Cervidae) on economically valuable tree species is a challenging task in many countries. Apart from cervid abundance, landscape characteristics, such as forest composition, land use, forage availability and ...

Inclusive decays and lifetimes of doubly charmed baryons [PDF]

open access: yesEur.Phys.J.C9:213-219,1999; Eur.Phys.J.C13:551-551,2000, 1999
The analysis of singly charmed hadrons has been extended to the case of doubly charmed baryons, $\Xi_{cc}^{++}$, $\Xi_{cc}^{+}$ and $\Omega_{cc}^{+}$. Doubly charmed baryons are described as a system containing a heavy $cc$-diquark and a light quark, similarly as in a heavy-light meson.

Twin-Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient for Low-Frequency Oscillation Damping Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
Due to the large scale of power systems, latency uncertainty in communications can cause severe problems in wide-area measurement systems. To resolve this issue, a significant amount of past work focuses on using emerging technology, including machine ...

The Standard Model Effective Potential at Two Loops [PDF]

open access: yesNucl.Phys.B387:373-390,1992; Erratum.ibid.B504:551-552,1997, 2001
We calculate the standard model effective potential to two loops using minimal subtraction, and use the result to deduce the two-loop beta-functions for the scalar mass and quartic self-interaction.

Safety and tolerability of inebilizumab (MEDI-551), an anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody, in patients with relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis: Results from a phase 1 randomised, placebo-controlled, escalating intravenous and subcutaneous dose study

open access: yesMultiple Sclerosis, 2017
Background: B cells may be involved in the pathophysiology of multiple sclerosis (MS). Inebilizumab (formerly MEDI-551) binds to and depletes CD19+ B cells. Objectives: To assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and immunogenicity

Familial Aggregation of Blood Pressure † 551 [PDF]

open access: yesPediatric Research, 1998
Cumulative data indicate that essential hypertension begins to develop during the first two decades of life. However, it is currently impossible to identify which child will become a hypertensive adult. We investigated familial aggregation of blood pressure in 1,183 nuclear families (including mother, father, and their first two children) in a rural ...

Magics of M-gravity [PDF]

open access: yesFortsch.Phys.49:551-555,2001, 2001
Compactifications on tori may seem to have revealed their beauty long ago but the mystery of 11d Supergravity remains and fresh attempts at a conceptual breakthrough are worth the effort and quite timely. We shall concentrate here on the analogy with Instanton Mathematics and discuss some open questions and work in progress.
