Harmonic morphisms and the Jacobi operator [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1999
We prove that harmonic morphisms preserve the Jacobi operator along harmonic maps. We apply this result to prove infinitesimal and local rigidity (in the sense of Toth) of harmonic morphisms to a sphere.

Harmonic Hopf Constructions Between Spheres II [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
We prove that a necessary condition for the existence of the remaining problem in the harmonic Hopf construction is also sufficient. We also give some topological applications based on our result.

Heat flow for horizontal harmonic maps into a class of Carnot-Caratheodory spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
We deform a map into a Riemannian manifold that is horizontal with respect to a submersion onto a non-positively curved manifold and satisfies a Chow condition into a harmonic one through a horizontal homotopy.

Harmonic morphisms between Weyl spaces and twistorial maps [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2004
We show that Weyl spaces provide a natural context for harmonic morphisms.

Harmonic morphisms with one-dimensional fibres on conformally-flat Riemannian manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We classify the harmonic morphisms with one-dimensional fibres (1) from real-analytic conformally-flat Riemannian manifolds of dimension at least four, and (2) between conformally-flat Riemannian manifolds of dimensions at least three.

Mok-Siu-Yeung type formulas on contact locally sub-symmetric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2007
We derive Mok-Siu-Yeung type formulas for horizontal maps from compact contact locally sub-symmetric spaces into strictly pseudoconvex CR manifolds and we obtain some rigidity theorems for the horizontal pseudoharmonic maps.
